E I Addio
He didn't get a maximum at Somerset. He scored 2,2,0,0. And he tweeted afterwards that his shoulder was still paying him up and he needed to rest it. He also pulled out of his last 2 rides at Swindon te night before. Don't let Steve lead you on. He's just trying it on. Sorry , my mistake. I don't know where I got the maximum idea from. However, I checked the Updates site and according to that he was leading his third race when his bike packed up on the last bend, and in his fourth ride he was last in what seems to have been an ftg race but came close to snatching third. So the 4 points he scored would have been 7 without the e.f. and possibly 8. It's very difficult to say if he was fit or not. 7/8 points is not a bad score for a rider with an alleged shoulder injury. The acid test will be how soon he rides again, but it doesn't look totally convincing at the moment. Pretty bad though that we have Swindon fans actually posting on here that they don't care if Roscoe did pull a dodgy stunt, so even if Tungate was above board there are Robins fans that approve of cheating and can be put in the Matt Ford/Muddlo/Starman category. mdmc82
I guess we will wait and see. Somerset's next fixtures are this Thur & Friday so of course if injured he will be sitting both out as not even a week later. Then Somerset have a break
robert72
Whats happened to Davey Watt another low score. He is trying to lower his average so he can ride in the national league so to give him a chance of winning a race again
Starman2006
What is staggering is that someone with no medical qualifications is challenging a doctor's medical expertise. And which one did the referee believe? And then he goes on casting aspersions on the team's integrity - disgraceful behaviour - and totally expected He's not challenging it, he's calling it into question for the reasons given. How many times have you lot done the same to us ?. Suddenly, its wrong . Edited June 5, 2016 by Starman2006
dump that clutch
I was right next to the incident on bend 4. Summers who was leading started to go out of shape , Doyle laid down his bike because he thought Summers was going to fall, although he recovered & didn't go down, his actions caused the race to be stopped , so IMO the ref got the decision spot on. same thing happened against Poole, JD lost it and kept it whilst wild boy Buck laid it down. I guess we will wait and see. Somerset's next fixtures are this Thur & Friday so of course if injured he will be sitting both out as not even a week later. Then Somerset have a break which is 6 days after his last match, potentially having time to get physio and treatment on it.
hyabb17
Just a footnote to all this "Swindon cheated", Tungate scored 7 the previous meeting, last night the R/R rides scored, you guessed if 7. Tungate had two race wins at that track in April. Did we really benefit from Tungate missing the match. The scores would suggest not. End of the day, it's done now. Tungate was injured & necessary certificate will be produced I'm sure. Edited June 5, 2016 by hyabb17
weatherwatcher
One of JD's reasons for leaving the Lions was it was to much, rushing around to get across to Poland, so what doe's he do he comes and rides a Saturday night against the Lions. Totally disgraceful what he did on Saturday. As fo a couple of new team members, It would be nice now that Rulla is team promoter, that she could have a few kindly words with some lads from Russia, the Laguta's or Emil spring to mind, now they would be a decent signing. Gresham78
Hard luck to the Lions last night they had a real go and on another night would have won it. Hougard, Klindt Auty & Lindgren all shone. Robins dug deep with Jason leading the way abley supported by Josh & Sedgie. Think the ref got it right with Summers exclusion & agree with Grachan about Doyle's reaction. Without condoning it the sport needs some incident & a riders displaying a bit of temperament is no bad thing from time to time. When i used to watch the Bulldogs Steve Gresham was always in the thick of the of the action on track and off it and it used to add a bit of spice to the meeting. Leicester maybe the basement team but credit to their riders fighting spirit.

The seven points he scored last time, were as a second string. This time R/R scored seven points, from the far more difficult heatleader position, so I'm not convinced the scores do suggest Swindon didn't benefit. hyabb17
Tungate may have sores the same last night, no one can really say for certain. I don't get all the fuss. He's injured, simple as. Yes, he may have scored the same, but he probably wouldn't have. I just pointed out that points scored as a heatleader, are far more difficult to come by than those scored as a second string. You said that he scored the same points previously as R/R this time, so there was no benefit. It isn't really as simple as that, is it. Nellie
And if the track was built the same as Blackbird road, the racing would be better...... Excellent point. Nothing to do with the discussion, but terrific nonetheless. Whether Swindon benefited from Tungate's absence, on the other hand, is a little more relevant to the thread. Irrespective of whether Swindon pulled a fast one, it's fair to point out no realistically fair parallel can be drawn between his points last visit (scored from second string), and the R/R points (scored from a HL position). It's not really that difficult to grasp.
beckettlion
Probably for the best that Tungate and Auty dont come up against each other too much
orion
Do you mean like having two poor rides so pretending to be injured but have a miraculous recovery the following night and take all 4 programmed rides to then mysteriously relapse back to the pretend injury the next night and didn't even post pictures of bags if blood or even a scratch on his arse! I'm glad you think I've got a point! I wouldn't expect you to say anything though, everyone already knows how far up rossiters backside and anything Swindon you are. #suspicionsconfirmeddept As has already been said you why his injury cost Swindon the meeting v the lions on Thursday so using your logic he was pretending to be injured to lose once and then to win once even by your standards that's pretty stupid . As for your last bit as has already been explained to you I am the last person to stick up for Swindon as everyone bar you understands I tend to there worst critic ..I understand why you say it as you think it's going to upset me ...but yet again like most of of your posts I just laugh at it .. #tryanotherangle Edited June 5, 2016 by orion

Joe Screen, Pawlicki , and Dakota North all produced doctors certificates when they missed meetings for Poole but nobody believed them. Tungate may or may not have had a genuine injury, time will tell, but let's not kid ourselves that medical certificates mean a thing in Speedwáy. They can be produced at the drop of a hat as we all know.

YerRopes
But clearly his so called injury wasnt enough to stop him riding all his heats last night, so it follows that he was fit to ride tonight. Doesn't follow at all as you well know ! Methinks you protest too much, clearly you have seen the latest EL table.. It looks like a big panic in detroit dorset
orion
Lol! I doubt rossiter was thinking like you, even he isn't that stupid! I'm sure he thought his struggling 1 from 2 rides rider was going to finish the meeting as a 1 from 3 rides rider, apparently the way he built the team he will always have 'a decent reserve down there' so the 'tell them you're injured' plan meant he would be able to bring in the 'decent reserve' and win the meeting. Fortunately the plan spectacularly backfired. I definitely don't want to upset you, the thought of you getting all emotional like you were when rossiter rode the last ever laps at the (not) end of an era meeting would be to much to contemplate, even for me, ha ha! Why would I get emotional ? I said at the time the meeting was a con and it would not be the last match or the last laps at the abbey ...as I said you need to try harder to get a bite
