waiheke1
I see nothing to suggest otherwise. Tungate withdrew from Thursday's meeting, possibly costing Swindon the match. It's clear he has a problem or that wouldn't have happened. I can't comment on the extent of the injury as I know nothing on that. The same as you. Surely the withdrawal on Thursday strengthened robins, if roscoe has used irr correctly. And his absence clearly strengthened you for this. That said he is clearly carrying an injury. If he does take two weeks off now fair enough..There has to be a point where you say enough is enough and while last night being that point is highly convenient for swindon, I don't think there can be complaints if he now misses meetings for both his team til fit. As a side note, if swindon are serious about making play offs, someone like bjerre as a replacement would make sense and now a good time to do it. You are a clueless lions fan then, how the hell can you defend Doyle who crapped on the club after all they did to get him a visa and give him a chance to ride when nobody else was interested. Doyle was not popular tonight with the majority of lions fans and the lions manager thought he should of been excluded too. Maybe you should become a Swindon fan as that's where your idol races now until he jumps ship again to another club. Wow, so it's not just tai you save your bile for. Is it anyone who is successful? Can't understand why tai and Doyle haven't engaged you to guide their careers, seeing as how you achieved so much and they so little..

It almost certainly did strengthen Swindon, although, having said that, R/R scored 7 and Tungate scored 7 on his previous visit there. This is the thing about Thursday. Tungate withdrew from the meeting and some people are saying IRR was available but Swindon never used it. Do the injury is clearly genuine, otherwise why would he withdraw? Nice to ear he was on parade. Do people honestly believe he would be there with the side if he had been dropped against his own will? thecoombdog
I aint gonna lie, I don't care if we pulled a dodgy stunt last night as we badly needed the win. But surely people should be waiting to see if Tungate rides in Somersets next meeting. If he does then fair enough the usual people can rant for months about it. But if he does miss a few weeks then no one can argue he's injured.

Hey at the end of the day it's sport and it's about results and a win is a win Fair play to rosco but the riders still have to go out a do the job and tonight with Doyley in your team around BP you are always going to do well. The lions did great on Thursday albeit with the inclusion of Brady Kurtz so what goes round comes round. Nicolai again puts a shift in Hats off to Jason Doyle if only we had him a number 1 this season, very professional and 150% every time he get on the bike

Agree, but if it does end up appearing 'dodgy' then it means no one can then really complain when 'certain others' do things that bend rather than break those 'bendable' rules....!

Yeah of course. The difference is most Poole fans cant see it when they bend the rules and are in complete denial whereas every Swindon fan knew it was dodgy last night and will openly admit that. I'm not usually one to complain anyway. The rule book is so complicated at times and open to manipulation that i say fair play to anyone who uses it to their advantage, including Poole! You get the odd Cov fan (and Gavan) going on about Dak last season but at the end of the day the history books say Poole were champions and that's that.

For the record I am no great fan of Jason Doyle, but I recognise a good rider when I see one, and nothing I have said suggests I am. As for supporting Swindon (with all due respect to the decent Swindon fans I know): go wash your mouth out with soap. You seem to have trouble dealing with independent, free thinking and impartial comment; you only seem capable of seeing things through an absurdly distrorting prism that paints everything as pro or anti Leicester. Grachan
Just had a quick look at this thread and I can't say I'm that surprised about Swindon cheating again. All sorts went on last season, first with dodgy guests and then rossiter admitting on TV they only lost meetings to get ward in. It didn't take long for the cheating to start again this season pulling the underperforming tungate after 2 rides on Thursday claiming he wasn't fit when he completed all his programmed rides the following night. What I am surprised about though is the reaction of the Swindon fans. Last season Zagar wasn't available for Belle Vue after a big crash on TV (ie the injury wasn't fictitious like tungate) and had several 'bags' of blood drawn off yet some Swindon fans were up in arms, coming out with all sorts and trying to take the moral high ground, onion was particularly noisy. Not much high ground being taken over tungate, more like back in the gutter again. #typicalswindonagain So your theory is that by pulling Tungate on Thursday and not using IRR, thus losing a match at home that they otherwise would have won, Swindon were cheating. Brilliant. #typicaldropacogagain Edited June 5, 2016 by grachan
TMW
He wasn't very well received on the back straight and it was clear Doyle should of been excluded. JD should be the one grateful of Leicester saving his career and he was also the one who said he would never ride for Swindon again while rosco was there, funny that. You also mentioned our sub 6.5 number one but you failed to also mention that Leicester have raced Swindon 3 times & Won Twice plus you only won tonight on the fact the ref excluded the wrong rider. So you ain't that good with your big hitting number one after all. we've had a cracking team over the years. Just a shame we couldn't have them all in the same season !!!! I thought the banter actually added to the atmosphere of the meeting !!! Although, Jason was incensed tbf Edited June 5, 2016 by TMW
arnieg
Meanwhile, back on planet earth.... Any news on Nick Morris? As the averages stand his absence would be a big blow to Swindon.

Yes Doyle wasn't happy with it and stopped at the end to make his point while nearly taking a rider off.
Grachan
If tungate didn't sustain his fictitious injury on Thursday night the rules state he had to complete three rides or a race had to take place with only one Swindon rider. #evenmoreswindoncheating Well, if that was the case, that would have been up to the ref to call that. I don't have the current rules to hand, but it's always been that if a rider is withdrawn then a reserve replacement can be used. In this case it seems Swindon could have even used IRR but didn't. So to say they were 'cheating' (a favourite, much over used and usuaslly ridiculous term on this forum) is nonsense. People love to come up with this rubbish on here. They example you give of Zagar being one. Another classic was Poole were 'cheating' because Newman wasn't wearing goggles, when clearly that would have put him at a disadvantage. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples too. Nyah nyah, cheating Aces. Nyah nyah cheating Pirates. Nyah nyah cheating Robins. So it goes on ad nauseam and, as ever, it's rubbish. Red Robin
Some of the nasty Leicester fans on here should read the Live Updates, the texter on there said the booing of Jason was unnecessary. A lot of "Sour Grapes" on here still. Jason is a Swindon asset and the Swindon fans have wanted him back for a long time, he is an excellent No 1 and we , quite rightly, are delighted with the win. For anyone to suggest that Tungate is not injured is absolute rubbish, he has had his shoulder strapped for a couple of weeks now, so any comments that he is not injured is not true.

Is this the same JD who told everyone a number of times that he would Never ride for Swindon again and was so happy to get away from there and wanted a full transfer to Leicester, he also said he would Never ride for rosco. As for tungate, let's see how many weeks he is out injured.
Panthers89
I'm not doubting Rohan isn't injured but the fact he is seems to off 'pick and chosen' his meeting and rode for Somerset, I'm sure the phone call from Rosco was something like: Rosco, Rohan, how did it go, can you ride tonight? Rohan, yeah all good, hurts but I'll be there.... Rosco, ok see you in a week, rest up? Rohan, nnnaaahhhh boss I'll ride, I'm fine! Rosco, no it's fine, we will do RR

I guess you were not at the meeting then? It was the decision by the ref that got the boos at first, it was JD smug reaction in front of fans on turn 3/4 that people did not like. Then he turned back while walking away to stick his middle finger up at the fans. Very professional , Not !! So if he got abuse after that as he walk down the back straight then so be it!! You can keep your star asset, for now, May be a complaint to the police for foul and abusive gesture's towards supporters, possible cause of trouble. Sure it would not do his visa very good. Great rider, but a prat as a man.
