Was today a one-off helped by tricky track conditions that seemed to unsettle a few of the Plymouth lads or was it a turning point? Anyway Rene has signed and he is a quality rider and I expect him to do a 'Richie Worrall' and score loads of points  A meeting like last night at Rye. Lots of passing and close racing on a well prepared track?A well prepared track is within Glasgow's control. If they had half the amount of dirt down it wouldnt exactly have been described as slick. Â I made it to the track in time to hear the team managers interview that he prepared a heavy track last week to unsettle Newcastles less experienced riders. WTF, thats so defensive, prepare it positively the way the home riders want and you'll get more out of them. An attitude like that doesnt suggest he has a high degree of confidence in his riders. If last week was a heavy track this week was far worse. Lawson and Perks gave up on the third lap of their opening heats, Garcia went sideways along the first third of the home straight in ht2 and Lunna twice came to grief exiting the fourth bend. I dont pay to see riders hobbling around looking like amateurs on a dirt track and question the mentality that has more than once this season made the track this way, when we have had nothing to fear from the visiting team. Summers was out during the meeting directing the tractors during a regrade and Worrall has openly criticised it in the post match interview, so why does it keep being prepped so deep? Â There was zero entertainment today other than Barker in ht10 and to a lesser extent Nielsen in ht 13. Id be embarrassed if we presented todays track to Sky at the end of the month. Whilst we are no experts on track prep it was pretty clear that most found track conditions almost unrideable today at the start off the meeting, is it maybe time to meet halfway and take into account what our riders prefer. Â When you have young exciting riders like Lunna & Garcia willing to give it there all but track prep costing them points & ultimately money it is time too prepare the track to suit our team rather than unsettle the visiting team as all it is doing is unsettling our boys just as much if not more Richie not to complimentary on the track on the website either time for a rethink when your own team criticise the track conditions. To be fair majority off meetings this season have been pretty good especially last week against Newcastle but today the track was poor as i say need to start listening to the home riders on prep and how they want it. Â Was never going to be easy today on the track with the sweltering heat but it was just far to deep until they had to do some work on it hopefully lessons have been learned but we have been entertained most weeks today we weren't we hope it was an isolated incident. It's the Dickson way I'm afraid. I will pass on your concerns to Stewart the next time i talk to him I am sure he won't give a toss what you think. Ben did the same in all his races never in trouble. Bit ironic of a Scunthorpe mouthpiece complaining about another teams possible "illegal guest" with the history of Scunny`s use of illegal guests in the past- normally long-track connected. Â Didn't notice Josh riding particularly wide after that though, each time he tried a pass it was always up the inside. Â Guys like Josh and Ben can ride this sort of track as they ride full gas all the time and can power through the deep stuff, probably why Josh couldn't make a pass when on the slick inside. That obviously justifies the track the way it was as i was bored out of my skull for the next 9 heats. Â Yesterday flies in the face of Glasgows growing reputation of doing things right. The marketing strategy is superb but yesterday there was more entertainment off track than on, and that is within our control to change.
