Whatever their club certainly has a winning mentality......

As a stand alone club who've dropped down two leagues they need one.

I'm pretty sure we'd be the same if we only had a National League team.

We won't live or die on the fortunes of the Raiders. The Rockets are the number one priority at Rye House.

The problem is that the crowd your getting for the PL is not enough to maintain with out the loss of money, So when your making improvements to the club but the club does not have enough people to support them thats were the problem is. Its all about crowds bum on seats, Yes Eastbourne are in the NL but if they were not there then Eastbourne would have no speedway.

Rye House dont need a NL Team as they know with Coventry and Belle Vue, Kings Lynn, are clubs that run 2 teams lose money. For PL meeting yesterday seems no atmosphere nothing at all. And then to loose in the next meeting that bad really needs some sort of team changes and start again,

Its always going to be swings and roundabouts at Rye. Last year when the Rockets were pants the Raiders were flavour of the month as they were having a decent season. This year as the Rockets are showing some good results the attendances and enthusiasm for the Raiders will fade (especially with an iffy team).

The team plans for the Raiders were clearly upset losing Hume and Bowtell.

I thought Conner Locke had a much better meeting and if he could improve asap then heats 2 8 and 14

would be a bit more encouraging!

The management need to bring back the second half racing after Pl matches that helped the likes of Bowen, Mear Boxall and others I can't remember to improve away from the NL matches.

As for Eastbourne they should be aiming for the PL and soon!

That will only happen after wood has matured and Brennan is ready to step up. I think the only possibility of it happening is 2017 when Brennan wants to move up

Yes of course they will need a whole new team but with the stadia crowd and promotion should be aiming for the PL before

The days of EL racing have been forgotten. Punters will only put up with NL for so long...

It is a good point as there were a couple of meetings where the crowds did drop and the racing wasn't that good at all. However on the same note there have been some meetings with massive crowds and better racing. Of course that's the problem with the league there are 3 or 4 other clubs like Eastbourne that have competitive sides and It'll pull crowds but others won't like this weekend I don't expect a big crowd. I think secretly our promotion want up a league

Well, what was there less of at Rye House, people in the crowd or dirt on the track.

The crowd size was abysmal, if you took the 150 or so from Eastbourne there would have been one man and his dog left. They seem tobe trying really hard at Rye House to make it into some sort of stadium, but the track is rubbish, after three races of the first

match there was a black tyre burn line on the 3rd bend, so there was never going to be much for our guys unless you rode up to the fence. Well done to the Eagles, all of them were great, big well done to Charley Powell, who tried is heart out.

Shads i think you need to step back as youre rose tinted glases have a crack in them, as gas bloke said 150 supports from Eastbourne came up to support Eastbourne so take that away from the 600 people in the stand then you only have 450 people for the redcar match which is not a great crowd for a PL match.

thats the facts of it not enought bums on seats

I'm not interested in crowd figures, I'm not an accountant, but if there were 150 Eastbourne fans there, then at least 100 of them were disguised as flagpoles.

Let's face it, if your home crowds were anything to shout about you wouldn't be languishing in the training league. A little bit of PL envy me thinks

Are crowds certainly aren't anything to shout about. I'd say 1,000 was our best at the last meeting last season and on a good day say Brum are in town or our friends across the boarder in Kent are in town we would get between 600-850 but some days can be terrible. For example this Saturday there will be the "150 supporters that were at rye house"
