Tsunami
For those travelling, the missly cold and wet stuff went away at lunchtime, and we have bright warm sunshine now, similar but not so hot as at your place yesterday. Looking forward to this match, but I think your form is better than ours with replacements counting against us.

acclennell
Unexpected win considering missing 2 key riders - would have said at least another 5 - 7 points would have been added with the full team but I'm not complaining.
SharpenRake
Good point for tigers. For those that like to slag us of in a play of situation we would be threw and a good team knocked out 😋
MD
Looking at the early part of the meeting a point is more than acceptable. We now dont have a meeting until Sunday for the riders to rest up and Barker hopefully to sort his machine issues.

speed ace
Barker has went from a top man in Pl to a genuine No4.Should consider himself lucky he's not FrenchWould rather see a return of Andre Compton, know he's more likely to actually achieve his average away from home, and could probably match barkers scoring at Ashfield. IMO Fair point, he has his issues right now and I believe a new engine was returned as unsatisfactory. If he can come good he will bring in decent points its just how long do you give it to happen. We have been resoundly pumped at play off challengers Sheffield and Somerset and travel to Ipswich and PB the following week where we cant carry any passengers if we are to collect any points. IMO Good to see fans of other teams taking a keen interest in tigers riders. Ben gets a new engine it blows up after 1 lap. Gets it back comes up to Glasgow to practice and it blows after 3 laps. Yea its all bens fault - get real!
Panthers89
So a rider of Bens quality only has 1 good engine? Surprising. Yeah they all have there favourites etc but most quality heatleaders in premier league will have 2 engines that could do the job surely? Yeah they all have there favourites etc but most quality heatleaders in premier league will have 2 engines that could do the job surely? Nobody said he has one good engine. How many engine failures has he had?! He's increased his average this year so far, not bad considering all the mechanical issues he's had and riding one race yesterday with a heavily strapped wrist. I'm sure today's fall won't have helped it either.

Interesting point but I don't agree. George Stancl was in attendance yesterday, great rider IMO and the record book states he had significant bike/engine/chain issues that lasted a lot longer than Ben's issues. Tsunami
Great incident packed meeting between two very competitive side. A difficult deep track, which caused both sides some problems, but it still didn't curtail the decent racing. I felt Glasgow threw away points tonight which helped us, just as did when were asleep yesterday and allowed Glasgow riders to miss the gate, but still passed us on the outside of the second bend. Riders should watch all races and learn what is working and what is not working. Over the two days I have watched two great meetings with great tussles, which could well have both been away wins. Settle for 3 points tonight as honours nearly even. Â Speedway at it's best. Think if you ask Stancl regarding his engine problems you will find him and his father were always tinkering with them and experimenting with them trying to modify his Jawa.I agree with you he was a decent rider and fast when the bike held up. Yes I think that is true. George seemed to have more problems than most, due to tying to get the last ounce out of the engine.
DJEuan
I'm starting to get slightly concerned with Barker, just from watching him he just doesn't look fast at all. I dunno what is wrong but hopefully he get's it sorted. Â I dunno if his machine problems are anything to with the fact he's using Jawa's, only other rider i've seen using one is Lasse Bjerre. I just assume there is a reason most riders use GM's. Think if you ask Stancl regarding his engine problems you will find him and his father were always tinkering with them and experimenting with them trying to modify his Jawa.I agree with you he was a decent rider and fast when the bike held up. Â Didn't George ride his own engines ? I know he had a JSR which i thought stood for Jiri Stancl Racing, i might be wrong though.
NJC71
Was really looking forward to tonight but the track ruined the meeting for me. It has been good this season but for some reason it was very heavy tonight and coupled with the low lying sun there were too many incidents, particularly on the 3rd and 4th bends - Glasgow certainly getting the worst of it. You could tell early on that most of the riders were struggling with it. When you get a match like this with two top sides you really want conditions that allow the riders to race which wasn't the case tonight, certainly over the first 6 or 7 races which was disappointing. Â Would certainly have settled for the win before the start. At full strength I think it would have been pretty comfortable. That said Sissis did a decent job and Fisher picked up an important heat win. Â Can't grumble with Glasgow getting a point given their misfortune on track tonight although I'm not convinced that's a league winning side. Lunna, Garcia and Ayres battled hard in very difficult conditions tonight but away from home they may have too long a tail which would have been exposed had the Diamonds been at full strength. Â As for us, impressed with Victor who has had a good weekend. Lindgren wasn't at his brilliant Brough best but battled hard but I'm still not convinced by Kus although to be fair he delivered in heat 12 when it mattered.

yes he did, think it was basically a Jawa with his modified cylinder head among other things.
