Really?

As already stated, if it is purely equipment, hes been around long enough to know the score regarding his premier league set up requirements etc.

I do like barker, always have, but he should be professional enough to have a good set up around him.

He had equipment problems when he came to Bandits, think you will find he lost his main equipment Sponser a couple of years ago .I believe Revolution sponsored him for a number of years with equipment but then they changed to Danny King and Lewis Kerr ( names could be wrong!)maybe he is not investing his own money as much.He certainly isn't performing to his capabilities, whatever the reason.

Quite a few riders have sponsorship and injury issues and then their form declines, watson and stonehewer are two who spring straight to mind, and mike coles and pickering.

All four had big sponsors, the day they left they were never the same. wato was one of the best pl riders in the last season Mallett transport sponsored him, soon as they left he was never the same even before the injuries and its the same with the other ones i listed.

Hope barker does come back well hes a very likable rider imo

Well we had a great time and had the hangover to prove it this morning . God knows what time it was when we left the bar haha . I feared a pumping after the way we started the meeting , but we came back well . The hated black and white helmet won us a point :drink:

Track looked really tricky though , but Aaron Summers had no issues with it , he was outstanding .

The track was tricky, and I don't know why. Over the last couple of seasons or more it has been billiard table smooth, so now we'll get the tiresome "Rough Park" again .

As to the match, the atmosphere was great, thanks to the Glasgow fans, and they probably deserved their point. Summers was magnificent, I wish Lambert had been there. Thanks to Fisher and Sissis, but with due respect they scored far less than we would of expected from Rose and Lambert. Palovarra quietly ran up another high score, it looked like he was on his own equipment, anyone confirm?

Jury still out on Kus, we were told he signed to boost away performances, but that hasn't happened, and he's always likely to have a couple of horrendous races at home. He had one last night, but did have a couple of wins, especially in the decisive heat 12.

No meeting next Sunday due to William Hill again needing the stadium. KO Cup meeting with Scunthorpe will have to be rearranged.

A bizarre meeting - what happened to our track last night

Well done the boys for getting the win but irritated Glasgow nicked a point as we missed Lambert and Rose - who would have scored at least 16 (prob 20) and not 12 from our guests who tried their best

Summers was superb - but would he have beaten stevie 3 times in a normal meeting ......... stevie gated like a man racing 2 meetings in a day .... not as sharp and neither was Ritchie

Glasgow may have picked up 4 to 3 points .......... but a full strength diamonds racing just 1 meeting in the day ..... I would have us as favourites

Does it matter that Glasgow got an away point, unless at the end of the league, or cut off point, Glasgow sit in 6th and Newcastle in 7th with 1 point seperating them and Newcastle have a superior points difference ??? ;)

over 2 legs, I would think Newcastle would edge it,,,

Tried too hard to get home advantage, not unknown at Brough.

Usual Bollocks from our regular Monarch trouble making critic.

Must admit I was amazed at how much water was on the track when I got there in the morning. We couldn't start on the air fence till the water was pumped off, and then the residue water off the air fence on the track. I didn't think it had rained that much, but i can assure you there was a lots of puddles which softens those areas. Jonny had to work the wet shale into the rest of the track after cutting, and then a lot of grading. Normally that gets the water into the base, and it is consistent across the track, but Sunday seemed to have a lot of loose stuff which caused the problems. Pleased we have Jonny who knows how to sort out these problems.

I said it to him at the P&P before the season started (it might have been on Practice Day on the Sunday, I can't remember exactly), Jonny was our best signing of the winter.
