Coventry Bees V Belle Vue Aces 27/05/2016

Recommended Posts

It's offset by having Kacper as reserve who will definitely take 6 or 7 rides.

He's averaged 4 in the 1-5 whilst Bates averaged about that at reserve so I'm sure SCB has a weighted calc for us to explain exactly how much stronger the bees are.

Why is it that every team who needs a guest (or rr) is weakened apart from Belle Vue who are always strengthened?

Last season Zagar, who at the time was in the GP top 5, was replaced by Harris (best not mention the GP) and then Jonsson (not even top 10 in the GP) and the forum inteligencia were up in arms at how lucky Belle Vue were. Earlier this season we had rr for Richie Worrall at Swindon and someone said

completely forgetting Richie's rides were taken by the reserves, and when asked

he couldn't think of an answer.

Now the steel shoe is on the other foot and the teams requiring guests against Belle Vue are somehow weakened?

On Monday a second string was replaced by a No.1 but Poole fans claimed it weakened them and tonight KK is being replaced by a rider who has dropped ONE point at Brandon this season and some Coventry fan claim it weakens them although to be fair some of them graciously concede they are 'about the same', lol!

Any rider can have an off night of course, as it turned out Harris and Jonsson did okay for Belle Vue, the No.1 only did about the same as the second string did on his off night (obviously Poole fans would insist the second string wouldn't have had an off night unlike the rest of the team did, lol!) and its possible FL might only match KK's off night Coventry score (4 or 5?) with the same whingeing from the Coventry lot, who knows its always a gamble.

At least statistically FL is better (with or without the scb magic) so in theory (but not reality obviously) at least yet another Belle Vue opponent is strengthened by a guest, at least its only an early season filler and win or lose it doesn't really matter.

Monday proved that the no.1 you refer to is worse than the rider he replaced and that rider isn't a no. 1 anymore. Back to his best Lindgren is a good guest and will do a good job.

It's not impossible to win as we showed against Poole & Wolves although it's going to be harder now with no Bates or KK.

This Belle Vue team were brilliant away on Monday and made a good Poole team look average at home.

For that reason I'm going to predict 40-50

Freddie had ridden just three matches at number four and in each one he has ridden in heat fifteen, a hard race. Due to this small amount of fixtures, he has ridden a small percentage of "easier" heats than KK and nowhere near enough to account for his higher average.

Comparing Newman and Harris to KK and Freddie shows a massive misunderstanding of the situation.

So the fact that in the last 2 season second strings have averages 18% more than second strings is irrelevant?

Next you'll be saying that Robert Brandford 9.60 NL average makes him the next rider in the Coventry team.

Why is it that every team who needs a guest (or rr) is weakened apart from Belle Vue who are always strengthened?

Nobody has said weaken or suggested he's a bad guest. Just pointing out it's pretty similar.

I'm sure everyone is sorry for daring to discuss a speedway meeting on a speedway forum though!

Could be worse, you could have KK scoring 4 points again.

Funny you should say that as Lindgren didn't manage any more than that! Was gifted one point when he was beating easily beaten by Scott. Even at his worst KK rides better than that.

Can see why they booked him but in hindsight RR would have scored much more.

BOOM!

Despite Freddie's paltry score, the Bees win .. woohoo!

Imagine the score if KK had been there ;)

And Bates as Branford scored 0, although he did try hard.

Guests only scored 5 between them which KK & Bates would have scored more than

4 points (his worst ) IS worse than that!

😂😂😂😂😂

In the 1 meeting KK scored 4 he had just come from a close family members funeral.

What was Freddie's excuse? His points seriously flattered him. He was embarrassing.
