Sings4Speedway
Nice to see the Raiders back to something near full strength but that's about all i can say for this one. "If" Morley, Branford & Priest are all in top form, Hunter chips in a few and Brum throw some away Rye might squeak an away point. Perry is a big miss for Brum though & hopefully a short term replacement can be found soon.

iand
This time last year Danyon was a 3pt rookie for Rye, now look at him, 2nd string holding his own and pushing for a heat leader spot. Remember watching Danyon and Alfie in their early meetings last year, frightening to watch, giving it a real go and never giving up. Pity we couldn't hold on to him and Alfie Bowtell, as we are starting from scratch again with our 3 new 3pt rookies. Hope at least 1 of them really pushes on this season.
GWC
Quite why Drury wanted to sign Hall when he has such a talented team is baffling Win at all costs should not be in a development league irrespective that Brum are a stand alone club. Rye House have used this league to introduce many young riders into the sport unfortunately the attrition level has always been against a lot and they fall by the wayside such is the tough sport it is. uk_martin
...Win at all costs should not be in a development league... Under most circumstances I'd agree with that but the crowds are getting older and dwindling in numbers, so unless there's something like a winning team on offer then there's little to encourage newcomers to come in the first place let alone stick with the sport. Ideally, another JPB or ZW is waiting in the wings to wow the crowds, but if not, then Richard Hall, as a "mature" rider to temporarily replace another "mature" rider isn't such a bad thing. Idealism is cheap though, and maybe winning at all costs is the price of sustainable existence.
Brummie Kev
Perry is a big miss for Brum though & hopefully a short term replacement can be found soon. Drury has said we are running with rider replacement now which will be a while by the sounds of it. Its a shame that we are now basically a 6 man side which fans don't want to see but there very few options out there. Still the 6 riders we have been terrific this year and I hope that continues. It makes perfect sense to move Danyon to 4,hes bordering on being a heat leader with the form hes shown. Despite the powerhouse top 3 the Raiders have, I hope we can pull off the win tomorrow Edited May 24, 2016 by Brummie Kev

Ben91
Hope the Brummies have sense to name a number eight for meetings, no doubting they've got the talent to cover Perry with R/R but it's always better to have seven men in the team. Our top three will hopefully keep things competitive, racing against JPB, Smith and Hune will be a good measuring stick to see where our bottom four are at present. waco
I think Raiders will need around 10 points from the bottom three to have any chance of winning this their opposite numbers at Birmingham are much better at this stage..But you never know one of them may do a Karger,,, Edited May 25, 2016 by waco

Brummie Kev
I wish Tom Bacon all the best, a really nasty crash on the back straight. One of the worst I've seen in a while, it was said he was in severe pain in his ankle so hope scans arnt as bad as the injury sounds. Really proud of the Brummies tonight , they all dug in. Danyon coming on leaps and bound this season and showed it again. Really impressed with the two Jacks at reserve. Paid 19 for JPB tonight and beat Morley too. Shame we had a rubbish ref in Ronnie Allen, who missed various rolls by Branford before Ben Morley delivered the biggest roll in heat 15; speechless he never pulled it back. Also not awarded heat 2 cos only 2 laps then later in the meeting he awarded a race after the same situation. Is this his last year as a ref? If Tom is out then I would just use RR and guests. Just don't trust the BSPA MC, don't matter if a signing is within rules they will come up with any reason to block. I wouldn't give them the satisfaction!!! stevebrum
Hope the Brummies have sense to name a number eight for meetings, They did. Awful crash on the back straight, hope both Tom and George are ok. Tom was complaining of pain in his ankle, possibly his leg. Fingers crossed for good news from both. Decent meeting with some cracking racing. JPB looking better each week.

pete cc
Pathetic comment, were you even there? yes i was !! The ref also warned Jack Smith for jumping the start as well. Heat 15 was 4 minutes before the curfew. i don't blame the ref. You had already won the meeting. Lets hope the injured get well soon.
