Warnings - Why Not Public

Lol! Thing is no one bothers to listen to him as its the same anti Poole drivel every post. Did you really expect him to say anything different? His hatred coulds his judgment and now he is joined by drop a cog or Fred Flange or whatever he now wants to call himself.

It wasnt a tape infringement so no reserve could be used. It was for delaying the start.

If Cook Didnt jump, why did half the grandstand yell out and the ref call it back twice? No amount of slow mo replays will disprove what the naked eye saw in real time. All slow mo will do it take away what happened in that split second.

Agree there should be yellow and red cards. That would be good.

I bet half the Grandstand do not yell out, in protest, when a Poole rider gets a flyer.

First one was just a perfect start.

Great side on replay shows Cook is still at the point the magnets release.

He does move before the tape in front of him due to a 6-9 inch lag to the centre.

2nd was a jump IMO.

I think it was in a match in Poland, although it might have been Sweden where a warned rider had a large sign with an exclamation mark printed on it shown to him.

When I was announcing the referees' warnings were always clearly passed on to the start marshal and also to the crowd via the announcer. .

It's not that difficult and avoids debates like this one. It wouldn't cost that much to put a board together and to ensure the start marshal uses it. As someone else said it all adds to the show.

Are you really being serious about slow motion replays and the naked eye? If you are, you must be living on a different planet!

first time he didnt jump, second time he did

the first one looked like he did because the outside tape moves slightly before the inside tape due to slack sometimes a rider makes a perfect start

would like to hear from cook if he was warned for the first one, cuz if he was i dont think he'd of jumped the second,

as for saying if the ref says before the meeting if any rider jumps twice there out yes thats ok , but he still has to inform the rider who he deemed jumped the first time or how would they know there on a warning....

Middleditch has said on Twitter that he didn't think Cook jumped but perhaps he only saw it on the numerous TV replays. He didn't have the benefit of the much superior view from the grandstand and the reaction of the neutral crowd.

Cook has also said he wasn't warned.

Having not watched the meeting on tv, and not going to suffering it, I would say to us in the stand, that Cook deserved to be booted out of the heat. It was clear that on the first attempt he was moving and everyone in the grandstand noticed it. So did the ref. He then did exactly the same thing the second time. Easy to look at slow mo replays on tv and for it to look ok but in real time he moved on both occassions and everyone in the grandstand reacted both times. Only time it happened in the meeting. He was still in his other rides.

IMO and most in the grandstand, the ref got it right. Excluded for delaying the start.

Having been to the tapes myself hundreds of times i can honestly say that the slightest movement will set you off, first time I think Cook saw the magnet and off he went, perfect start, second time he jumped. Seen far worse where the ref lets it go.

Imagine the scenes if that had been Mike Lee excluded..................
