LisaColette
Oh dear, I think Leicester were better off with Ulamek!! I feel a bit bad for Leicester fans as Davey seems to be using his place to get a more attractive PL average?!
Starman2006
Of course he gets paid as riders are either on a wage plus points money or a set fee regardless if they score a 21 point or 0. Some are, not all. And i would be very suprised if Davey got a lump sum per meeting by Leicester as i doubt they would be in a position to do that.. E I Addio
Some clown on the updates site said Davey is lowering his average... what a pathetic comment Doesn't score, he doesn't get paid... Except by Matt Ford
Mr Bump
I have no idea about all this 'lowering his average' stuff regarding Davey Watt. What I can say from my view standing on the first bend all evening, I saw a rider with very little confidence in his ability to compete. Sad to see. You can only hope that confidence will return at some point.
stevebrum
Wolves win as expected and return back to the top of the table. Happy days. Nice way to return from my trip to Poole today.
alkadera
Great win for wolves, a proper team performance with only 3 last places. Star of the match for me though was Paul Starke. Attacked the difficult conditions and pressured the wolves riders when behind. Very impressive.

robert72
Davey watt was shocking and should be sent back to Australia. I thought the track surface was in great condition and Paul Starke was awesome to watch and really wanted it unlike two other lions who were not interested. Very poor crowd again. Changes needed for the lions again.

robert72
With who ?bring back walasek for starters. Watt should not be allowed to ride for Leicester again, Thompson Twins looked quicker. Leicester crowd was really poor, they need to temp a good out and out number one to ride at BP to turn there season round and hope the crowd will return. Plus during the World Cup break they Must make changes to the track shape.

I thought the track was a bit heavy last night and if you got behind you got filled in. Hence the lack of racing. It certainly caught Auty out who a lot of the time relies on passing Edited May 22, 2016 by TMW

BTFC LION
Well after last night I have decided things are not going to get any better for the rest of the season. I think the club either need a man with very deep pockets with lots of money in them, to tempt some quality heat leaders, the ones who say they will not ride a sat track, if the money is good enough I am sure they would!! Or change the race night. We might suffer in the short term with lower crowds, but if we have a winning team, or at least one that can compete then the fans will go out of their way to attend. The crowd was poor last night, but lets be honest it was a wet cold night and even the die hard Lions fans did not think we could win. I know people will say its not all about winning, but seeing good racing, to a point I agree, but new fans do not see it the same way. The crowd is there, but it needs to be encouraged to turn out. They go hand in hand, bigger crowds, more revenue, poss more to spend on riders, better riders, better results, better crowds.
IainB
The ref had a shocker last night, how he missed Auty blatantly touching the tapes in heat 1 is beyond me, Bech went down by himself in the first running of heat 2, was allowed back in and the meeting was left to drift along with rain falling. Watt was a disgrace, all riders showed good effort on a difficult track except for Watt and to be fair I've seen him perform the same in decent conditions too, this no points no money argument I find hard to believe, I bet he didn't get £0.00 for the meeting. If he doesn't want to ride speedway why doesn't he go home and get a proper job?
robert72
They'll get an easy 3 points when Poole are there!!!! Probably will when the lions have a rider in Poole kevlars going slower than the mascots I'd rather that was a job for the winter than end up with a BV situation mid season thank you. I thought the track was a bit heavy last night and if you got behind you got filled in. Hence the lack of racing. It certainly caught Auty out who a lot of the time relies on passing I didn't see anything wrong with the track surface, seen glyn water it far worse than that before, auty is low on form, Starke had no problems. You can t change track shape during season and its length and dimensions are recorded and set before season starts You can if it will save your business and the sport, The shape is clearly wrong and if they could move bends 1 & 2 during the World Cup break then I don't think the BSPA will stop it. R87
Delighted with the win to put us back at the summit. My second trip to Leicester and I was curious to see for myself whether the standard of racing had improved. In fairness there were one or two good moments of racing, especially a cracking heat 13 between Starke and Kylmakorpi. By and large though, it was pretty ordinary. Have to say the crowd was really poor. But when te home teams struggling and the weather is poor, it's not a huge suprise. A real pity because it's a cracking little venue. If more thought had gone into the track, they could have had something really special.

I cannot see how long it can continue with such poor crowds, I fear for the future of the club as huge amount of fans have departed because of the track and not the surroundings as it's one of the best stadiums to watch racing. Track changes and a better team is the only option of saving it.
