Johnny Hole former speedway champion for Bristol Bull dogs 1950 - early 1960s has sadly past away at the grand age of 91 at home with his family, on the 8th may.

Johnny from Bath was married to his wife Betty for 65 years and ran a family car garage in Bath. Bikes and cars were his passion and it ran in the family blood. Johnny is now at peace with his brother and sisters especially Graham and BIlly who also had a great love for speedway.

Johnny will be greatly missed by his wife, two children and 3 grandchildren. Massive thank you to Dorothy House who helped Johnny when he needed them in his final weeks.

Rest in peace Johnny Derrick Hole - One of Bristol Bull Dogs Heros!!

Sorry to hear about Johnny Hole, one of my favourite riders at Knowle 1949 to 1960. Captain of the Bristol Bulldogs in 1960, I believe this leaves just Dick Bradley and Chum Taylor from the early 1950s team. RIP Johnny Hole.
