Game On
Not sure. I didn't here anything announced during meeting. Only think I read was the same as you about the BSPA and qualifiers. Have I missed something? He wants to do premier league and got told no. He's got the sack in Poland and Denmark I think Edited May 21, 2016 by Game On
Woz01
He wants to do premier league and got told no. He's got the sack in Poland and Denmark I think Hasn't got the sack, they have squads and are not using him. He knows he cant do PL this year but says the rule should be changed and have it like Sweden where the likes of Jonsson can ride in the league below.
Daniel Smith
He wants to do premier league and got told no. He's got the sack in Poland and Denmark I think He'll have to lower his average which would be pretty tough on Coventry
Woz01
Interesting read regarding Harris. Are we seeing another blast where he's blaming everybody else but himself? Such a passionate rider but does seem clueless with it at times. If his me or you was regarding Rosco then it's bye bye Harris for me. SWC Team : Woffinden Nicholls Cook Lambert / S Worrall Doesn't matter where he goes for the SGP Qualifiers, he should have got through them but he didnt and that's down to him Doesn't seem it was Rosco. I think he was generally annoyed about the amount of travelling he had to do. He couldve had a little help from the bspa but they decided to put a semi on GP weekend where he had to travel straight after and gave him a GP qualifier abroad too. No help to Bomber or Tai in that respect.

No help to Bomber or Tai in that respect. The option must have been there not to race the Semi Final. If Danny King had a GP Qualifier so was allowed to miss the British Semi why not Harris? Also, wasn't King & Kennett a couple of seasons back give special treatment to be able to race in the PL. Think they both had averages above 6 at the time if I remember?? If a PL promoter is willing to pay his wages on a 12 average then so be it & he should be allowed to drop down imo
Daniel Smith
I see Coventry really are using Leigh Lanham as a guest for an EDR tonight Hope the fans disapprove of this as much as some did when Poole were going to be using Stuart Robson until the BSPA rightly blocked the move Joke if this is allowed to happen

He's also below Bates in PL averages which the rules include. Leigh also won't be at reserve but in the main team as Kacper drops to reserve. sommelier
Pretty ordinary meeting tbh. Though AJs exclusion was harsh and was massively impressed with Woryna who I though rode in a far more controlled fashion tonight until the last lap of heat 14! Maybe not as exciting but more effective. Sarj looked pretty good too and Roynon did more than I think anyone expected. As for the rest, blink and you missed them. Thought the crowd was pretty good personally. Totally agree with you, AJs exclusion, I for the life of me could not see anything wrong with the move. Some good racing & looked a ok crowd to me
mdmc82
Prediction for tonight 54-36 Bridger and Piotr have been scoring well at home. Mear should score better as its never been one of Sarjeant's best tracks and Woryna has never seen it before. Bees_Man
You mean 54-36. Yes I think something close to that. This bees side won't win away all season.
sommelier
The last time I saw him - at home to Poole - he was amazing. Fired up, skilled and gutsy. Last night he just didn't seem to want to know. There's no question in mind that he's good enough, it must be attitude. That's pretty much how I saw it - not brilliant but not rubbish either. I thought the crowd was good, especially for a Lakeside match. Regarding Bridger, don't think he was has bad that his score suggests. His first ride was challenging for the lead before he went down, showed plenty of commitment there. His second ride heat 7 hardly the easiest ride! Can tell you he was working tirelessly hard to get that Jawa dialled in. You could see how flat it was out of the corners.

It's a joke, EDR guests should not be accomplished EL rider's, full stop. The system can be seriously abused if this carries on. Leigh Lanham is vastly experienced at EL level. It's just totally wrong wrong wrong on every level
CB252
Good win, poor meeting, poor crowd and poor value for money, rant over. Not sure what people want? Would you like Mick to pop out and do your shopping while you watch the meeting? Maybe your dry cleaning? What constitutes value for money? There was the main meeting followed by a full 9 heat second half. Is the cinema or ten pin bowling worth 13 quid? Is premiership football worth 60-80 quid? What do you want? As for the crowd, it was probably one of the better crowds I've seen anywhere in the country to date this season. And I've been to a lot of meetings already. Slightly worrying maybe, but I've seen way worse attendances.

They deserve a bit of quality and not dross guests because nobody else is available. Be honest though, not sure why we're not using Roynon but then he's had a 5 point el average in the past. There are two or three quality riders then a bunch of reserves/premiere league riders, not value for money.

There are two or three quality riders then a bunch of reserves/premiere league riders, not value for money. What do you propose? How can we fix it? We could try all 8 teams running on one midweek night and try and bring some stars back, but your admission fee will shoot up to £25 quid, at least, to pay for them and there will be a quarter of the crowd there if it's not at the weekend. Or we de-tune to PL level and have a North-South split and run on better race nights and try and lower and standardise admission fees across the board? Unlikely that you'd get the price below 15/16 quid though as the first few quid at most UK tracks gets eaten up by Stadium rent. There's no easy answer to the mess that British Speedway finds itself in and it's easy to look at the Polish and Swedish model at present, but they aren't totally blighted by stadium issues like we are over here.

Speaks volumes with very low crowds around the uk, alot of people won't pay those prices for a poor product. Has bomber fallen out with havvy ? Has bomber fallen out with havvy ? Ir had nothing to do with Havvy or bees. Only have to watch team in the pits to see no problems there. It was BSPA that Harris was angry with. This isn't the first time he's spoke out about them in last week. Edited May 21, 2016 by mdmc82
