Weather wise it looks fairly decent. No rain is expected in the forecasts but that's what they said about the past Friday as well and well they were wrong.

Eurosport are really starting to take the pi$$- 1 race missed last week, now heats 2,3 and 4 missed this week(so-far). I take back all the good comments I made about them in week 1 :mad:

Agreed, next week I'm expecting 5 heats in an hour show with them wasting 15mins showing the top 10 keepy uppies :nono:

Sadly it's no surprise. I feared it wouldn't last since apart from the commentary team they clearly show no understanding of or consideration for the sport. Clearly they leapt into the SGP and Swedish deals then couldn't wait to get rid. This 'coverage' is just seeing the contract out rather like Sky did when they buried the GPs behind the red button.

I`m not entirely sure that`s 100% correct- I heard from a reliable source that they were bitterly upset at British eurosport when they lost the GP contract this year.

Fair enough, you have the contacts. It is encouraging that it was a competition for the SGP rights and that BT were prepared to outbid the incumbent. Nice for the sport to be wanted. Putting GPs on Quest last year could be interpreted two ways - either it was a sign of commitment that they would turn a factual channel over to sport temporarily or the opposite since they hadn't found space on the main channels.

Still doesn't excuse the treatment of Elitserien. Their haphazard scheduling had charm in 1990, but not now.

Bear in mind the One Sport deals are with Polish Eurosport so don't come into the consideration of the channel's overall commitment.

Dont forget you can watch this live on C More Sport every Tuesday live. Takes possibly three minutes to setup the moneysports app on Kodi and you are done. Its a standard definition picture but far better than a stream with loads of adds and trying to find that little grey square button.

Thanks - I have been watching the C More Sport coverage for several years but can't always watch at 6 pm on a Tuesday.

When I looked at Money Sports it was only a mirror of Sports Devil which seems far more stable. I tried several times to access C More and nSport +via Money Sports without any success and I do have the latest installation of Kodi.

Away from Kodi, Stream2Watch seems more stable than VIP Box which tends to get awkward about Ad Blockers.

If only we didn't have to.....

(EDIT - Just had another go and found C More Sport working via Money Sports - no luck re N Sport+ so still relying n the Polish add-on).

Actually, I am thinking whats on Eurosport this year, one hour, is much better then the last couple years where all the meeting was televised, tractor grading as well, plus all the return to pits gate after a false start etc.

Now its seems more slick, and I get to see what i tuned in for, the racing.

I assumed those missing heats at the beginning (I didnt even notice missed heats) was down to those races being gate and win, as a lot of early heats can be ie Warsaw on Saturday.

Sure, I can imagine switching the times of the showing is changing week by week can be more then a little annoying, and can matter a lot to some people, I just got the sky box (through which I watch Eurosport, to "record series" and come Wednesday evening I can watch an hour of speedway.

Okay, you are happy with 12 heats of speedway in about a 45 minute programming slot (taking out the ads and promos from the average sports channel 'hour') but for those of us trying to follow the meeting scores it's just not good enough.

The moment that hole in the meeting appeared I gave up on keeping individual scores. I saw a couple of good races, as usual from Kumla and noted the match score but I lost all interest in individual scoring.

You can edit sports like football or rugby heavily without missing incidents that change the score but when it comes to speedway, unless you just watch the racing without keeping score it's like reading a book with several chapters missing.

As for last year I'd either watch a recording and fast forward through the breaks or get on with something else until the racing restarted, just like I would at a meeting where I always have something with me to read during gaps.

There was plenty of time to show all 15 heats. It's just lazy editing - far easier just to cut one large chunk out than review and edit properly. I've been there!

That's very much the Eurosport way, unfortunately. They have always been dreadful at editing sports events...as you say, it's just lazy/cheap.
