Shadders
I think you will find that Sarj's bike was slowing and looked like it blew up which caused his crash which is why Ben went past. Sounded like it was revving wildly just before he fell. Edited May 14, 2016 by Shads
Alan_Jones
Sounded like it was revving wildly just before he fell. Indeed, and the reason he fell in his last ride was because he threw his bike at Karger's back wheel and missed.
Pob
Well what can you say about that? Not alot really apart from Rockets wanted it more. Well done to them solid team effort from them . Track not a lot of dirt on it but it's the same for both teams . Couple of days ago few Rye House fans moaning about Kasper ? Very strange thought he was your standout rider of the night . Some nice cut backs up the inside along the back straight shame the Witches didn't take notice the 1st time he did it . Kennet Witches must be sick of the sight of him but class apart over the tie. Not a bad nights racing but how much lower can the Witches sink this season , changes to be made maybe but who else is out there to come in . Very long season ahead fir the suffering Witches fans I think .
junior fan
Karger nearly wiped Morley out ,off the 4th bend in race two and then blocked him at every move He's riding for his career , obviously his points are more important to him than the team end result. Reviresco
In my humble opinion. the whole shebang is a disappointment and I try to stay positive as much as possible. Not just the 1 to 7, although now that the Scotsman has got his fan club up and running, Paco is absolved from any criticism - does nobody care any more amongst the management and promotion at the Club? Bezza
Agree Macca, this season for whatever reason has not going for the witches septet. Lots of promise on paper has simply not delivered where it counts on track. You can point to the reserves as being one of the reasons but the remainder of the team are simply not performing to their ability which is costing us. Personally, I think the management now need to demonstrate to supporters that this will not be tolerated and make a change if only perhaps a riding order to start with. King should have his machinery sorted, we are now two months into the season. We need him to lead from the front. Sarj is far too inconsistent and yet with Coventry experience you would have though he should be approaching the premier league with more confidence. Kerr certainly looks quick enough when in front but after the first bend that's generally where he stays. A bit like tungate he seems to ride the same line / couple of feet of track every bend. He along with Sargent would be wise spending some time on track after the main meeting to get more familiar with their new surroundings. Risager steady enough for the second string berth BUT like Sarj and Kerr struggles when behind. Couldn't pass on Thursday when the winner was timed at 61 secs - simply not good enough. Covatti has been inconsistent this year and yet it is not particularly obvious why? Certainly he has found the foxhall track not quite to his liking this year. Paco is now starting to showing some fight which is appreciated by the foxhall crowd. Needs to aim for 5pts a meeting. Ritchings in all honesty is not yet able to bridge the gap from national league to premier and will cost us a few points each meeting. So enough of the PR and 'fortress foxhall' - give this 7 one last chance to show the crowd on Thursday they are capable of hitting 50+ points and that we are serious about winning the premier league this year. ZODIAK
There a few factors why we've struggled IMO. Firstly, we seem to have come off worse than the majority with our NL 3 pointer. Those are vital points and if you look around you'll see a lot of them chipping in 3,4 and 5 points in some cases. Ritchings has struggled to notch a point, and that makes a big difference. An even bigger issue has been King. He's been utterly abysmal since the season started. He is supposed to be in the top 3 riders in this league, and he's riding nowhere near it. That is hurting us badly. Kerr was a gamble that so far isn't paying off, he's been poor and Sargeant has been poor in the majority of meetings bar the odd one here and there. Risager has done his job as expected. Basically, we're crap!
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Re Bezzas point of not being able to pass when the winning time is 61 secs - surely that says as much about the track as the riders. There was no inside line again on Thursday and little material in general meaning a mid/wide track procession after the initial shuffle up. When Cam went hard under Lewi a perfectly legitimate move turned to an exclusion as he just skated across the marbles.
waco
There are some good riders in the Ipswich side ,,but oh!, the consistency is none existent and King is a shadow of his former self..We all have a moan about our team at Rye from time to time but thank god we do not have to support this Ipswich side

Bob Ellis can get the hump all he likes, but the supporters are not stupid and we know what we see! It's appalling. It's one thing having a poor team and losing meetings, but when the entertainment is non existent as well then that's a double whammy. No wonder people are voting with their feet at the moment. Gavan
The track has a big part to play but surely that isnt the main reason. King - has been woeful so far struggling to hit double figures even. When your number 1 is only getting around 8 points your going to struggle. Sarjeant - so unpredictable, one week looks good the next a novice. I would persevere Kerr - if he misses the gate thats where he stays, maybe something to do with his injury so a bit of leeway but needs to start to produce. Risager - for me so far our rider of the season. Been doing his job since the season started Covatti - struggling at Foxhall due to track prep but not setting the world alight away. Paco - well the lad is coming good shame that apart from Morten everyone else is strugglin Richings - sad to say but out of his depth and needs to go. Our 1 and 5 should be able to plunder the points in heats 13 and 15 but they are really struggling for form In the last 4 matches they have scored a combined total of 12, 16, 7, 15. Thats nowhere near good enough from 2 riders who should be having 10 rides between them a meeting. This means they are struggling to achieve 2 points a race. Risager has banged in 11, 7 , 10 and 8 in the same meetings , solid second string scoring. Our top 2 are struggling, Kerr and Sarjeant to inconsistent and a really poor number 7 means we are deep in the brown stuff!!
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Im not sure that its Bobs fault though - surely he is just preparing as he is asked to...... Perhaps we should we look at a change of strategy in that regard.

Perhaps we should we look at a change of strategy in that regard. You are right it's not his fault. it would be nice to know just how much input bob has. Last night they spent a good half hour during a couple of heats making the track more racy. To be honest that's the best I've ever seen that track, and it was providing better racing.
