Sidney the robin
Rohan and Justin could be an issue at heat leader but then we have the power of Josh and Nick at 2 and 4. Will see how Jason and Rohan go tonight following their accidents. Cant wait until Monday ORLOV ,should be a nice bank holiday afternoon. Just like the good Ole' Days loved the bank holiday double headers great stuff.Dunno what you think A.O but i hate these changes different reserves keeping up with the averages is hard work.😀 Edited May 26, 2016 by Sidney the robin
Steve Shovlar
The side you have put together and strengthened further with Bjawny should be able to compensate for losing Buzz surely? No absolutely not. Bjarne is part of the team as is every other rider but the loss of one of our top scorers certainly cost us big time on Monday. A guest is not going to cover for him. And who will be available on Monday? Not making excuses just saying it as it is. As for the weather the BBC are currently saying they cant predict it yet as it is uncertain what is going to happen with the weather patterns. Could be heavy thundery rain or a bright sunny day. Sidney the robin
Poole will be at full strength (subject to anything untoward over the weekend!!) with our 'top 3' (Hans, Chris and Buzz) back in their heat leader positions. Ellis and Pedersen as 2nd strings Kurtz and Newman at reserve. Swindon's top 3 will hopefully be Doyle, Tungate and Sedgman; with Wright and Nielsen back in their original EDR positions. With that line up Skidder i think it will be really close,Bucks is the key if he gets 10 plus i think Poole will score 40 plus.Holder has to be on his game though, heat two looks a great race Nielsen,Wright,Kurtz,Newman can't wait may the best team win. YerRopes
Time to revive this thread now its getting closer. After Pooles defeat on Monday its not looking good to get anything out of this meeting. Swindon ripped Belle Vue apart and they could well do the same to us on Monday afternoon. Pirates on paper look strong but meetings are not won on paper and on track the team have yet to click at all. Swindon has never been a good hunting ground and we often come away just missing out on the bonus point for keeping it close. Not sure if Buckowski is back but we missed him badly on Monday and a guest is not likely to do better, as was shown against Belle Vue. 49-41 Such a worn out record, every away meeting you predict defeat for the almighty Pirates.. Surely super Poole can compensate for Buzz who was a second string at the start of the season, especially as both Bjarne and Hans are 'track specialists' at Blunsdon.. So, cheer up and approach the meeting with positivity and a smile..as after all we have poor Rohan struggling big time.. Swindon 42-48 Poole

Swindon 42-48 Poole No we can't compensate, he is vital but hopefully he won't be missing. Riders like Tungate should not be allowed to be heat leaders, they should be restricted to second strings, it is too damaging to their confidence and takes them ages to get it back, it is too big a jump. You are right if Buzz does not ride it is a certain home win hate this nonsense every two weeks riders changing positions. In the 80s i think it was a full month before the averages kicked in simple how hard is that? speedway in England is so Micky mouse. hagonshocker
Some of you are talking as if he's Gollob in his heyday! It's Buzzfingy fgs Buzz is good for double figures at Blinsdon, so if he's missing it will be a loss for Poole. Furthermore, Pedersen has had superb meetings at Swindon (as well as some howlers) and as Shocker says, he definitely strengthens the Pirates overall. As ever, Swindon v Poole is always difficult to predict, but I'm going for a top class meeting (if the weather stays good), a massive crowd, and a pulsating draw! Double figures? ya think? based on what?

His liking for big tracks, previous decent performances at Blunsdon and more importantly his general EL form this season? I may be wrong, but I have a hunch he will do well on Monday. SteveLyric2
Just to put things in a little bit of perspective, Poole have just been well beaten at home and haven't won away yet this season - however 'strong' they appear to be on paper!! Matt Ford has lambasted the team for 'moaning and underperforming' (in today's local Echo - not yet in the online version so you'll have to take my word for it for the moment), telling the riders/team to 'SORT IT OUT'....'NO MORE EXCUSES'....'PUT UP AND SHUT UP'!! Whilst also accepting that the track was not up to scratch on Monday and work is being done 'to make sure we give them the best surface possible in light of the conditions that get thrown at us!' I'll put the link up as soon as its online - unless someone gets to it first.
