Berwick Versus Sheffield: 14th May, 7pm

Recommended Posts

From the Coventry web site:-

The visitors eventually took the lead with a 5-1 in Heat 11, a race which proved to be doubly damaging for the Storm as Liam Carr crashed out of second place on the final bend and was withdrawn with a suspected broken scaphoid.

If the Tiger's ride like they did on Thursday, i think they will win this one. It looks like Garrity and Bates they have sorted the bike problems out and are starting to hit a bit of form. All the Tigers rode well at Scunny last night.

When your No 1&5 riders combined score lees than the opposition No2 rider , you're always going to be up against it , TJ & Seb weren't at the races tonight and it cost us big time , captian Kev was on fine form and his and Theo's points helped to keep it reasonably close , a big thanks too Danny for stepping in for the injured Liam . With no racing next Saturday maybe it will give us a chance to regroup and get things sorted for the visit of The Bears in what must be a Must-Win meeting . Well done to The Tigers on a deserved victory .

Is Bagers performances as awful as his scores suggest?

Got passed by Howarth who started on a 15 metre penalty after a tapes offence

Had my Max Boyce moment tonight, Henning Bager won a race at Shielfield, 'I know, cos I was there'!

Got to hand it to Captain Marvel tonight, saved us from a right humping. Into the grandstand after the meeting and swarmed with kids. Great work.

Thanks also to Danny Ayres, who proved a really good guest for Liam.

The rest of the Bandits just too inconsistent, Seb being the epitome of this, brilliant last weekend, poor this.

But as usual, lots of laughs.

Thats because it was Ht3 and there as still a couple of specs of dirt on the racing line that he couldn't handle!!.well done to the Tigers better Team all round .Kevin,Theo and Danny and got pass marks from me.Think most fans knew what the outcome was going to be when Berge won Ht1.Stead is still brilliant to watch giving his horrendous injuries during his career it hasn't altered his swashbuckling approach to his racing.

Got to mention Captain Doolan for us. He really knows how to lead by example.

Sheffield are an impressive team this year, could go all the way.

I agree with Fromafar, Stead is always exciting to watch.

Nothing sucks the atmosphere out of, or empties a stadium quicker than a couple of home defeats and poor performances, lets hope whatever the problems are within the team are addressed now we have a couple of weeks to do so. I am sure our promotion and consortium will meet, if they haven't already, to do just that.

On last night Doolan, Pyjper and Ayres were decent and did all they could to at least keep the scoreline respectable, the others inconsistent and poor, and need to use this time off to sort things out, or maybe the club will sort things out for them. As others have mentioned you`ll struggle to carry any rider but when that rider is the No1 its doubly difficult.

Take nothing away from Sheffield who were excellent, inparticular I thought Josh Bates caught the eye, far more in control and looked very classy.

Completely agree 3 riders out of 7 never going to win a meeting,Tigers won easily with basically a 5 man team Berwick totally inconsistent god help us when Sky come. All the early promise of beating Monarchs at the dump all gone at this rate we will be lucky to finish in the top 10.Well done to the Tigers wanted it a LOT more than Berwick maybe a blessing thers no meeting next week.
