robert72
Alan Trump got rightly booted out on his backside. What was Allen Trump 'convicted' for then?! I think it was down to him calling matt ford a cheat and also those supporting ford. DH is in the same mode so is very outspoken, that is a No No at BSPA towers, This is another reason why the sport needs an independent board.

I think its fairly common knowledge about DH being inclined to rant at people, but doing it whilst drunk as well.........

Daniel Smith
If he goes anywhere mate i would hazzard a guess it will be PL. You can tell by his recent tweets what he wants, Leicester are a convenience to achieve a lowered average for PL in 2017.

robert72
Did the bspa grant a change of promoter to Yulia yet? I wonder if DH still plans to give a statement of his side of things and why he stepped down. Many have said he was pushed due to his drunken outbursts but it will be interesting to hear his side. Ive not heard anyone but yourself make reference to his 'drunken outbursts'. He's always seemed friendly enough to me and whoever has been in attendance with me before. Seen him a tad stressed before, but that's to be expected with the job he was doing. Always came across professional and well mannered, even if I have disagreed with some of the steps he's taken with the club of recent times.

Why should DH give a statement of his side of things? He has his reasons. What's it got to do with us? As long as he doesn't pull the plug on Leicester Speedway. Which he says he won't. I have never seen DH drunk as you put it, and has for these drunken outburst, I've never heard one. He had every right to be upset at the lights being switched off, but I wouldn't call it " a drunken outburst". DH has always been very polite and always keen to engage with the public. I'm beginning to think that you live in a parallel universe or some kind of fantasy land where you only see the worst of people. You have got a knack of making yourself sound silly.

The reason why is because he said he will give a statement in time as to what happened and why he quit. I wish you would do your homework before you make stupid comments, follow the thread and read what's been said, also read what DH said too.

Dickie Head
Out of interest a friend of mine who knows about cycle speedway tells me that Dave Hemsley (a former world champion at that sport) has entered this seasons British Championship and is in a meeting at Poole on August Bank Holiday Sunday.

Blimey. Thought he was too old for all that now. Perhaps he needs the money?
stevebrum
Blimey. Thought he was too old for all that now. Perhaps he needs the money? There are age categories for most age ranges. And still a class act on a bike.
Gemini
Blimey. Thought he was too old for all that now. Perhaps he needs the money? I wouldn't have thought there would be much money involved with Cycle Speedway. Do they even get travel expenses? I've lost track these days since Leicester dropped out of the top division. I've lost track these days since Leicester dropped out of the top division. I'm just having a chuckle at the post that claims someone is in Cycle Speedway for the money. Laugh of the year so far. I've put thousands into it with the occasional bit of sponsorship and equipment. Even the top guys who can get good sponsorship will outlay way more than they get back.
britmet
Just looked up the titles, - DH a 3-times World Champ, as recently as 2003, won in UK twice, and in Oz.
