Steve0
Rosco is a Team GB disgrace. WRONG! Rosco was managing Swindon and they won so no disgrace there!

PHILIPRISING
WITH Swindon without probably the best No.1 in the league, BV would have hoped Zagar would have had a field day but like so many of his ilk these days he is terribly inconsistent. Paid eight from five is a poor return from a SGP rider especially in a track that should suit him. Also, another example of matches being determined by the respective 6/7s ... 12 for BV, 21 for Swindon. But at least racing at the new stadium is under way to temper the disappointment of losing.

mdmc82
Tungate at reserve; sums up why British Speedway is heading nowhere fast. Rosco is a Team GB disgrace. It will be interesting to see how they do once Tungate moves back into the top 5 on Monday. Good win tonight though

Trevor
My total guess would be 2,500, fairly full with some gaps in the main stand, but plenty stood in the South Stand and some on bend 1.

Zagar really should have been better than being passed twice in the same race by a reserve, having said that the Swindon lads were far far better than us, the track is no excuse actually our riders have at least had some laps on it the Robins none. I can see us losing a few here, The curse of the trick track no longer exsists for the away team anymore.
SUPERACE
I would say more like 3000 tonight. Enjoyable meeting and thought we might lose tonight but not by 10. Swindon were quicker out of the gate and faster on the track, so no complaints, deserved the 4 points. The racing was good and that was on a slick track its going to be awesome by the world cup.
Rob B
Was it a decent crowd though? About 1500-2000 I'd say. Heatleaders let us down badly tonight, Zagar and Nicholls were poor, Cook started off well then went rapidly downhill too. Steve Worrall was very inconsistent. Doyle probably would have scored twice the amount then Harris did. First 5 heats were processional but then racing got better as some dirt generated. Track still very slick as it beds in, needs more dirt on the outside as that is a very long way round, will get better. I would say more like 3000 tonight. . Not that many, grandstand was half full so that was 900 and would say about 600-800 or so on back straight and about 100 on first bend. Rob B
I'd guess the crowd to be 3000 based on a virtually full main stand which holds 2000 (did someone really say nobody would use it?) and the back straight looked about a quarter full which I assume holds 4000 grand The grandstand holds 1842 and was no where near full, I suspect you were sat in blocks C or D. http://tinyurl.com/j6tauu7 Back straight holds 3000, I would say you're right about assessment of quarter full so that would be 750. Dornier
I was sat behind the starting gate on the back row M and could see all of the stand E It was at best half full.don`t know about the stand at the front of the start gate. I estimate the back straight stand to be half full.
Rob B
Yes, near the gate. Looking at the photo it looks half full? Whats the total capacity? Mort told me 6000 and that was before the extra standing went up on the first bend. Yep about 6000, 1842 grandstand, 3000 backstraight, 900 1st bend and few hundred on 3rd/4th bend if required. Extra 3000 seats going on 3rd/4th bend for World Cup.
ouch
Don't think I've ever come away from a defeat so happy. What a joy to watch at the NSS. The Aces will get dialed in and the track will produce more racing lines in time. Swindon, as a few weeks ago gave the race rusty Aces a gating lesson and throughly deserved their win. I look forward to another play off contest with you guys at seasons end. Happy times.

Id say over 1000 in the grandstand and over a 1000 in southstand, probably over estimated with 3000 but defo over 2k
