StevePark
Good meeting on a nice night. Nice to watch a meeting with two seven man teams for a change . Berwick are good value around Brough and again gave the Diamonds a good match with all seven riders on the pace. Not for this first time here, Alden was excellent, he just lacked back-up. Pjiper, by his standards had an average meeting and none of the others ever really looked like winning a heat. The Bandits are a very decent side but just look one rider short to me with one too many 6 point riders and one heat leader short. As for the Diamonds, Palovaara was decent and needs time to get dialled-in to the track but I don't think he will get near to the points we were getting from Tero. Sounds like Tero could be missing for the season - I really hope that's not the case. Danny had his first home nil of the season against a good Bandits reserve pairing and Kus was disappointing. The other 4 rode and scored well, Lambert certainly not helped by getting practically dragged off his bike by Bager in his third ride. Steve Worrall is absolutely flying and probably should have had a paid max, leaving Alden too much room in his one defeat. Man of the meeting though goes to the skipper. How an earth he managed to stay on his bike and remain in front in heat 15 will remain a mystery. Also, don't forget Victor is riding on borrowed equipment at the moment and, hopefully, will improve when on his own bikes.
penchev
Even on his best day Jorgensen ain't a number 1. It was foolish not to have one in place at the start of the season Do you only post/criticise in defeat?
Shadders
Do you only post/criticise in defeat? Is that a rhetorical question? (look it up, I'll wait) Edited May 8, 2016 by Shads

Terrace Grumbler
I thoroughly enjoyed tonight- two competitive teams, a well-prepared track, a big crowd and and decent weather. I can't ask for much more on a Sunday evening! Seb Alden reminds me of Robert "the mobile chicane" Eriksson. I was very impressed by Liam Carr, and surely we'll see Theo P in a Diamonds race jacket one day.

Fromafar
We seem to be more entertaining away from home judging by the praise given to the performances.TJ and Mellgrens injury problems are going to impact our season the way the Team was built IMO. Goldmember06
The Jørgensen bashing needs to stop! Your all bleating about how he ain't a no1 we'll newsflash he was signed as a second string last season and because of injuries ended up top of the averages. Along with Kevin he often carried the team last season and is paying the price this year yet the majority seem to constantly moan bicker etc about him not being a no1. Some very inept managing decisions and signing poor/keeping with poor riders have cost us this year. We were very close to getting a point at least against a very decent Diamonds side, things could be far worse!! mauger65
Full credit to bandits plenty of spirit after last night's shock .... scoreline flattered us a bit ... another good meeting and what an effort by ludo in heat 15 Kus and Philips still struggling so even a top side still has a few niggles ... difficult to judge Victor till he gets his equipment .. the other 4 are in top form As for bandits ... the good news ... Carr possibly best no 7 in league ... Alden is your number 1 who will get better and piper is probably best no 2 and Wethers at 6 ain't bad .... the bad news tj and bager. .. both look weak .... worse news .. think u will lose more home matches to teams who can gate at your place
dantodan
Yes Alden is great around Brough Park. I presume George has his phone number should we need a guest at home

Parsy72
Give the Bandits plenty of credit here, they came to Brough and give the Diamonds plenty of problems. Yes they may be lacking a out and out number 1 but from 1-7 last night they attacked the track and never let us have a comfortable evening. Danny has had a bad weekend and I just hope everyone stays with him and lets him progress like we know he can. Victor showed he can easily maintain his average and once on his own machinery I reckon he will pop up with some important heat wins in heat 8. All in all a entertaining evening with what looked like a good crowd. Great to also see the Gems putting up a great fight against the Raiders. After the big defeat the previous evening it was great to see such a gutsy performance. Edited May 9, 2016 by Parsy72

Only two home wins this season and against probably the two worst teams in the league and after a fantastic away win at Edinburgh the wheels have started to come off. We should be doing better at home, I never expected us to pick up any points last night but we should have taken all 3 on Saturday from the position we were in and while we continue to struggle in the big heats Jorgensens failings this season are going to be talked about. No. 1's with less than an 8+ ave will always get talked about, it's unfortunate for him to be in that position, but on paper he is your no. 1, atm,,, apart from that I think Berwick look a decent team,,,

Seb looks like he is getting back into the swing of things though.

Strange that, I thought we would get turned over on Saturday, Newcastle sadly, is a good team. I did think it would be more like 44---46, but as usual our problems come in the form of heats 12/13/14/15. A few old die hards thought the same in the B&G before the meeting. dont think it is fair to put the blame on TJ for our results think he is still recovering from his shoulder op at the start of the season then his hand injury has not helped. We have Team of inconsistent performers IMO .We know we don't Have an out and out No1 ,but all the rest of the team have had a poor meeting this season. Seb looks like he is getting back into the swing of things though. TJ will be OK when he drops from the No1 position, too much pressure on him and he's thinking too much about it. Seb will handle the No1 position much better.
