mike7164
Well I can't see this one off the mark yet so here goes. Well here we have our first away league fixture I hope we can put up a tighter result than when we were there in the Tyne Tweed Trophy last month. Any news regarding who our guests are as I understand it we are missing riders? Edited May 3, 2016 by mike7164

dantodan
I am at this one and hope all of our riders are too! Watching your team with guests in place of Elite league commited riders is not the same as seeing all 7 of your riders in action. The current situation is killing the sport both sets of fans want to be entertained by the teams without Guests. Robert, Steve and Lewis are the doubling up/down riders who because they are good riders have Elite interests which take priority over our Premier league. Matej Kus has overseas commitments. If Newcastle track guests and lose then the home side will be happy enough to take the points but if we are tracking Guests and win then the home side can feel agrieved. Berwick Can a Berwick fan supply the likely Berwick line up Newcastle 1. Robert Lambert 2. Viktor Palovaara 3. Matej Kus 4. Ludvig Lindgren 5. Steve Worrall 6. Lewis Rose 7. Danny Phillipps Can anyone run the rule over the Newcastle line up and say who is likely to be replaced by a guest Edited May 4, 2016 by dantodan

NJC71
Lambert & Kus are both riding in the GP Qualifier at King's Lynn so presumably a guest for Lambert and the dreaded r/r for Kus. Given both fly around Berwick it probably ends any chance we had. It would be nice if the BSPA and promoters would work together and arrange fixtures that would ensure teams are at full strength and avoid obvious clashes like this and Scunthopre on Bank Holiday Monday. If I was a promoter at Newcastle I wouldn't be accepting a fixture knowing there is a fair chance two of my riders would be unavailable (or 3 as it would have been on Monday had Belle Vue not been rained off). If the Newcastle promotion have no say then who is coordinating the fixture list and are they not doing basic checks to identify potential clashes? At the end of the day, as a paying supporter I want value for money and that means watching two 7 man teams. Rider replacement is a complete turn off for me. What would have been a cracker of a match will be ruined. I might have gone to Berwick to watch a full strength team but no way I am going with a guest and r/r. I get that Newcastle signed these riders knowing full well that this would probably happen so ultimately it's their problem but it's the paying public that are being cheated. Surely it can't be that difficult to arrange fixtures that would avoid this sort of clash or rearrange fixtures if necessary. Positive Thinker
Hardly Berwick's fault if opposition accept a fixture and then arrive short-handed. Although they won't be short-handed if they are allowed two bloody guests. Oh, to be on the Management Committee.

Hardly Newcastle fault either, when the fixtures were drawn up there was no guarantee that Lambert or Kus would be selected for the meeting at Kings Lynn. I am sure with a bit of homework they will be able to cover for their two missing riders.
screm
No news on guest or guests for Newcastle as of yet, Berwick are hoping to have Jorgensen back at No1, but Anders Mellgren has been forced out with a knee injury so Berwick will run R/R for him. beaky11
I don't know about other fixtures that night but with the averages Kus and Lambert have they would be able to get Ostegarrd for Lambert and Robson for Kus, the way they rode around sheilfield the last few weeks I can't see it making them any weaker!
