stevebrum
So talk over now that Wolves are the new favourites. Poole have proved they remain title favourites. Disappointing result given how weak Poole were but Howarth was a huge let down. Still he has starred in our others wins so it's proof how much of an influence he is having on the side so far. Wolves unbeaten tag gone and the titles favourite tag passed back to where it belongs. Well done to the Pirates on the victory all the same.
Gavan
Good job Auty isn't in the same bracket as Ellis!!well done for picking up on part of my post! Seems a bad habit down your way! On that track Ellis is better. Overall Auty over a season is a premier league number one which is a position Ellis isn't good enough for. Auty overall is still a better rider than Ellis. Crazy robin
Talking to Kyle and his dad tonight and it seems that Kyle was mis-diagnosed initially at his local hospital and as a consequence was not prescribed strong enough anti-biotics. Hence his extreme pain and being taken into B'mth Hospital where he was properly diagnosed, but by which time his 'bleed' had turned into early stage sepsis. Â Extra strong anti-biotics became the order of the day along with fluids to flush out the infection. When asked when he would be back, the answer was 'when he feels ready'! But I think his target is for the Brit semi final on 15th. Â Â As for Chris Holder he was utterly dejected in the interviews at the end. Despite scoring 9 points (would have been paid 12 if not for losing his steel shoe!) he still has issues with his machinery without knowing exactly what is going wrong. Â Overall there was some great racing tonight on a differently prepared track as Track Curator Gerald was required at Lakeside. Maybe Chris should use his GP bikes then as they're quick enough?.
tellboy
To be honest the score flatters Wolves. In two heats Poole were home and dry on 5-1's when disaster struck. In the first Howarth fell in third and Thorsell laid it down. In the rerun he gated second and picked off Wright. In the other Holder and Hans were cruising on a 5-1 when Holder lost his steel shoe. Those 8 points would have brought it to 59-31. And Poole were a weakened side tonight with Auty nowhere near a point. Six points from Bjarnes rides. Â Â Do your calculations again Steve 55-35 would be the scoreline
YerRopes
To be honest the score flatters Wolves. Â Another hapless prediction.. Â And sadly another meeting determined by the scores of the reserves.. Â Poole 17+4 - Wolves 4 Â BTW..went up the Steam tonight to watch this meeting, but sadly no one was interested.. Â Poole 17+4 - Wolves 4 Â BTW..went up the Steam tonight to watch this meeting, but sadly no one was interested.. Tbf edr was 5-4 though. The situation with Kurtz at reserve is no different to the "good old days" when a team ended up with a strong rider at reserve (I remember Paul Thorp at bv in 87 starting season at reserve and knocking up double figures at home each week). Tbh I don't think Poole were majorly weakened by the missing reserves - can't see Ellis and Newman having added more than a couple extra each, and doubt bjarne would have scored more than rr). Steve Shovlar
Well unless the Steam have a direct satellite link to Poole stadium you would be very lucky as it wasnt on tv. But it should have judging by what I have seen if that meeting so far. Edited May 4, 2016 by Steve Shovlar

And Poole were a weakened side tonight with Auty nowhere near a point. Six points from Bjarnes rides. Â However it was an excellent and thrilling meeting with plenty of great races, none more so than when Lindgren and Masters tried to team ride Hans out. Brilliant stuff from the Poole captain to slice between them off bend four of the third lap. Â Also interesting to see that the centre green has been cut back on the 4th bend by at least a metre. The white line is still in the same place. Has a rider asked for this so he can put his front wheel over the line and cut around the inside better? Â So off we go to Leicester on Monday. Ellis is riding Saturday and will see how he feels but wants to ride. Kyle was interviewed and said he had sepsis and it was quite serious. He said he had never felt pain like it last Sunday night. Hoping to be back in a couple of weeks if all goes well. Patched up pirates can do that with half a team. onwards and upwards... #piratepride, in bundles.. Really?? Holder has scored 8 against Lakeside and 6 against Coventry in his last two home matches, so he may well score as many as 3 tonight!!!!
T.N.T.
Poole are never easy to beat or even get a point from at Wimborne Road and while they seemed depleteted, they actually turned out to be better off. Â After scoring well at reserve, Ellis having such a high inflated average helped as Holder was now allowed an extra ride ...... But not a Tier 2 reserve that has moved up but while it allows a World Champion to gain extra rides from Petersen r\r he can only be replaced by a rider from the list that is lower than them on the list. Â It's been said that the list gets updated but the list also states the rankings go from March 2015 to March 2016. As Ellis is a Tier two rider at 15, Auty is at 3 and a Tier one rider. It does make it hard to follow for even the die hard fans so think what a newcomer would make of it if the rules were told to them! Â Â As for this meeting, Poole were clearly the better team and Charles Wright did well while Kurtz being at reserve was a bonus but for Wolves, Howarth struggled and Clegg is out of his depth even in the reserve riders races, especially when you get riders like Kurtz or Klindt etc dropping down. Â Next stop for Wolverhampton is the second away trip to Coventry who are clearly struggling and good time to play them now before they make changes. Sidney the robin
Â Adam managed to score at wolves, were the races easier there ? No but whoever the draft rider was moving up would find it hard the rule is a joke. They should move up ito a second string berth surely?

Also Auty has a EL average that suggests he is a EL rider let's not go overboard on Ellis /Newman inflated figures also Newman has usually had lower PL figures then Auty year on year. IronScorpion
You also have Ellis & Newman "dialled in" at poole where as Auty is not. Do you think the poole riders are going to help Auty? He rides for Leicester!!!!!!!! Also, as pointed out earlier, he rode with/against Andersen, Kylmakorpi, Bech in ht3, Buczkowski, Lindgren, Kylmakorpi in ht6 & Andersen, Lindgren, Masters in ht10 & according to the updates site, was in the mix in his 3rd ride. How would Ellis have done?
waiheke1
Ellis may have scored a couple I reckon. You have the likes of holder only managing 3 in the odd meeting, so any points an edr scores as hl are really a bonus.
