Please Can A Bsf Moderator Contact Barrow Boy And Assist Him With His Password Issues Please?

Recommended Posts

Can A moderator please contact Barrow Boy and assist him with his password problem?

He has tried to contact the mods, but as yet, he hasn't had a response!!!

If someone has sorted him out, please just confirm its been done please?

We can't afford to lose anyone from this forum, just because he's lost/forgotten his password!!!!

I'd suggest until he is contacted he re registers as Barrow Boy2, makes his first post on support forum saying what he has done (to keep within the spirit of the rules) and the mods can sort it out at their leisure.

That's a BSPA type solution!!!!

Why can't a mod quickly reset his password, along with a quick explanation of what he has to do??

Possibly because they have a life away for the BSF

My suggestion was simply to allow Barrow Boy to continue to use BSF and forestall a certain member (not your good self) from using it to yet again attack the mods

I will see Barrow Boy on Monday, if a mod pm's me with details for him I will pass the necessary information to him personally....

It's possible that he may have changed his email address... This would complicate the issue.... That's possibly a reason to go through me thinking about it.... If this circumvents privacy rules, I will get his new email address from him and pm a mod Monday night...

Maybe the mods could invent some sort of password system that lets you in depending in the time of day you post?? Say if you posted at a peak time it would be more difficult, whereas if you posted at 2am youd score more points and get in easier??

We could then have a made up table also of who the best posters are but keep the scoring system and ratings a secret made up formula?

😬

Don't think we have any these days do we? Not a bad thing either as I should think they get sick of continually receiving messages from annoying people. (Not referring to you of course or Barrow Boy.) Anyway, I'll try to help by getting in touch with the boss on Facebook now the Bank Holiday is over.

I thought any new poster had their posts checked and allowed on the forum by the mods.

Why not post as a new poster, explaining what has happened and asking the mod to send the password etc.

One or two on here have had to set up new names as they could not access their old ones.

Do we have any mods though?

I don't think we need them either. Any members that are just plain annoying usually get singled out ~ no names, no pack drill. We're all adults so can surely be trusted to moderate ourselves without someone being in charge.

Until it's sorted he could borrow one of gustix many aliases to sign on.

This comment is one that raises much concern. Obviously the BSF cannot allow the practice of 'many alises' to continue.

Pugwash has an obligation to report this matter without delay to the BSF Mods, at the same time detailing for their attention the names of the aliases which are being used. This will enable the BSF to put in place a block on all the aliases.

Additionally, to ensure the protection of all who are users of the BSF he should also detail the aliases on this thread with immediate effect to ensure that all BSF users are protected and able to avoid any response to those names which are no more than an alias

This comment is one that raises much concern.

Only amongst those that have been caught out and banned for using the deceitful practice.

The only concern for the rest of use is that this madman is still at large on the BSF and as shown previously, he has a cunning twisted mind. Who knows what he is up to at present or who infact he may be today. He's 'raving mad pal'.

Your insuation is that the Poster you complained about is still using an alias/aliases. That would indicate you have knowledge as to the names that are being used currently on the BSF, yet, when asked to give these names on the British Speedway Forum you have failed to do.

The user did have aliases some years ago for which he was caught punished by the BSF and faced a lengthy - and deserved - suspension from the group. Those names were also obviously blocked from further use by BSF Moderation at the time.

The challenge now is that you are suggesting the practice continues but, when challenged to place these alleged aliases in the public domainyou cannot do so. An example that you know is in your Post i.e "...or who in fact he may be today..." but your failure to be specific with a current alias/aliases proves the weakness of you allegation in that you fail to give one alias and are weakly trying to defend the indefensible.

Your Link, in my view, is utter nonsense and just a wild shot on your part. I again challenge you pugwash in regard to your claim about aliases "...name names..."!

Yawn

I agree with you Star Lady, but when unfounded allegations about contemporary happenings are made against one, there is a need to be defensive.
