TonyE
Just over 48 hours to go and the weather forecast is favourable. Should be a good meeting but what with an off race night and Sky in attendance - the crowd will be well down imo.

OveFundinFan
Is that what a track gets when Sky TV is at their stadium? Wow and its said Sky take a preference to Poole, if thats the case its no wonder Matt Ford can afford all the foreigners he has. Preference - what, with a hole in the middle of the bend. jim3751
To fill the Lakeside terraces how about a bit of publicity along the lines of : You've seen him on TV. This will be your opportunity to see the fantastic Craig Cooke in the flesh making his debut at the Arena Raceway.

Guest
LAKESIDE HAMMERS PRESS RELEASE ::::::::::::: LAKESIDE will look to bounce back to the top of the Elite League table as they host Belle Vue at the Arena-Essex Raceway on Wednesday (7.30). The Vortex Hammers will be back on home shale for the first time since defeating star-studded Poole in a thrilling encounter almost a month ago. The Purfleet outfit suffered a disappointing defeat away at Wolverhampton in their last outing before the West Midlands outfit leapfrogged them to move top of the standings on Monday. However, the Hammers will nonetheless have a chance to reclaim the top spot as they take on the highly-rated Aces in a mouth-watering clash in front of the Sky TV cameras. It promises to be an exciting encounter between two strong sides as the Hammers look to maintain their perfect home record – and promoter Jon Cook knows they will need to be on top form to get back to winning ways. Cook said: “Our last away meeting against the impressive Wolves was a lost opportunity for at least a point. “On Wednesday we can afford no passengers against a well-balanced team who are the league favourites in many people’s eyes. “The Belle Vue team is almost the same as the one that came close to winning the league last year, but we intend to put one over on them and come away with three points.” Both sides will be at full strength, with the Aces featuring Grand Prix star Matej Zagar alongside British stars Scott Nicholls and Craig Cook. LAKESIDE: Andreas Jonsson, Piotr Swiderski, Lewis Bridger, Richard Lawson, Kim Nilsson, Robert Mear, Lewis Kerr. BELLE VUE: Matej Zagar, Max Fricke, Scott Nicholls, Richie Worrall, Craig Cook, Joe Jacobs, Steve Worrall.

Gemini
BUT at least they get ten grand Coventry are definitely going to need that on Monday as it looks like being the worse ever attendance for a Bees match. ONE of the problems facing Sky going to Poole is trying to find fixtures that will be a close contest Probably the Poole v Wolves match (May 4th) would have been the best bet. We'll soon find out. Daniel Smith
Everything is in place for Lakeside''s track team to deliver a good show tonight. Absolute perfect weather so the track should be in mint condition and prepared for both teams to entertain

TonyE
The Hammers haven't exactly been that busy themselves of late.
SteveLyric2
So will the track prep be overseen by Mr Russell on behalf of Sky, allowing Gerald Richter to be at Poole?! ;-)
