george.m
Enjoyable evening despite the result. Heat 13 was worth the admission money alone. A blanket would have covered the four riders from start to finish, the best and closest heat I've seen in a long time. Was always going to be a struggle after being 7 points down after 2 heats, but hey, the guys got some Armadale practice ahead of June's PL meeting when the points matter.
Fromafar
Decent meeting some good dices,2 observations ,the ref wasn't going to give Worrall a fast start, and Richard Lawson doesn't give a stuff for his team mates as Luna and Worrall.

Fromafar
Is Etheridge really as bad as he seems? CrikeyUp against it but have seen better riders than him struggle for years at Armadale think he will improve.Ref let him have a flyer in ht 14 rerun to boost his confidence .Really like Riss he has talent this could be a big year for him and is the main reason the Monarchs have seen off the oppo at that Dale so far this year.IMO
Mr Blobby
well that was unexpected. We weren't that great ourselves but the tiggers weren't much better really. Â Good stuff from Sam,erik and Kevin. The fish is getting there and Jye was a lot better this week. Max seems to be beating himself up to much just needs some confidence to get going. Â Nice to see that Worrall has taken over the jump starts, 3 times he jumped it, how he never even got a warning was baffling.
Pogo1
Tigers in the semi final regardless what the result would have been last night, it was good to see Glasgow having a right go regardless, Masters class act, and Etheridge will get better, Referee seemed to hold the tapes in every race Worrall was in after he jumped one early on. Â Barker a bit naughty staying down in the race he fell but he won't be the last rider to do that! Some tough racing out there, but fair I have to say, Â Nice to hear a very vocal away support, something we missed in the the derby at Ashfield.
stewmac
Richie Worrall, the new James Sergeant I see. As for Barker, an ill judged and all too obvious attempt to cheat, dropping off at the back and making absolutely no attempt to get up, merely watching how the race continued. Glad the ref saw straight away what his intentions were and awarded the race, despite the fact that his partner wasn't far off the pace and could possibly have still influenced the end result.
george.m
Why would Ben do anything deliberate in a lap when the race can be awarded?

While I agree he did stay down to get the race stoppedI don't agree that he "dropped off" he was all over the place on the track and was heading for the burger van when he fell! Paulco
Nice cordial atmosphere in the bar after the meeting last night , as both sets of fans seemed reasoably happy after 15 heats of entertaining speedway . Edinburgh fans , just happy to get a meeting on , were happy as their team got a morale boosting win in the derby and we were pretty pleased with the solid performance that our team gave , safe in the knowledge we had already qualified . We never really recovered from the disastrous 0-5 in heat 2 which gave the Monarchs an early 9-2 lead . Every time we chipped away at their lead , they responded with a 5-1 to pull a little ahead again . But there was enough exciting speedway to keep the fans entertained , notably heat 13 which was a cracker . I disagree with Pogo about Ben being a bit naughty in staying down , it looked to us that he couldn't free his foot from under the bike in time , irrelevent anyway as the ref awarded the race . For us Lawson and Worral were excellent , Aaron was a wee bit below his usual Armadale form and Ben never looked quick on the track . Lunna and Garcia worked really hard for their points and it's all a learning curve for Danny . Edinburgh just about got away with their long tail , the heat 2 gift gave Clegg his only points . Masters and Riss look worthy successors to the Cook/Sedgmen opening partnership and Wolbert will do a solid job , at home anyway . Fisher doesn't look the rider he once was , but he did well to win the crucial heat 13 . All in all an enjoyable night out at Armadale , hopefully we can find that little bit extra when it really matters in the league .

Warned ???????? He should be complimented on his gating prowess . Referees are far too fussy these days , time to bin this riders sitting still nonsense and go back to if a rider doesn't break the tapes , then it's a good start .

Paulco
So how did Carr and Cook get away with it. Apparently it's only opposition riders that transgress the rules

King Jamie
 Looks like ht2 cost Glasgow gifting Clegg and Blakelock their only points of the meeting.   the heat 2 gift gave Clegg his only points  Max was already in front when Ayres stopped and was still leading comfortably when Garcia made a quite ridiculous dive into the first bend of lap 2. Hardly a gift!
