Rye House V Workington (premier League) 2nd May, 2pm

Recommended Posts

Only 9 points between the sides last year, I reckon this'll be a lot closer. Rain forecast to arrive by 4pm, so they'll have to get on with it. The second half Raiders match may be a casualty. Shame, because Sunday's weather forecast is rain free during the day.

Witha it being a double header with the NL meeting after main one hope they don't leave too late to make any decision that's a lot of rides traveling south for a call off

Part of their job, there will be more fans that are travelling down than riders, I'd feel worse for them than the riders if it ends up in a late rain off.

Now Met Office and BBC are both predicting a band of heavy rain between 3pm and 6pm.

Yep, 80% chance. Doesn't look good.

Of course there will be more than seven fans coming from Workington, it's two cars worth.

as long as we take the child seats out , we cane fit 8 people in. maybe more if its a people carrier ..

The meeting goes ahead as planned. Fingers crossed

You can tell it's under new management - Len would have called this off yesterday.

Good luck with the weather

Its an interesting and brave decision to go ahead, sky is bright sunny and warm right now but no matter how many weather sites I look at there is a band of heavy rain moving east across the country. I can't see how thats gonna miss us, we might get away with it until 15:00 and then from 16:00 its heavy all the way through to 19:00.

Trust they will scrap the parade and get stuck into the racing. Gonna be tight.

Who will be far enough ahead after heat 10 ?
