Belle Vue Vs King's Lynn May 2nd

Recommended Posts

Haven't they invested in plastic sheets to cover the track? thought I'd read that somewhere, so as long as its not raining at start time should be ok?

and wonder if Puk will be riding?

Me ?...the joke was on you ...by the looks of it you still not got it .

Or maybe you haven't got my reply. You may have some excuse I suppose as my edit, the last line, was posted at the same time as your post thinking it is a whoosh. As you know I always like to be fair and consider all the facts.

The forecast for tomorrow and Monday morning is not looking good at the moment.

I could start to believe there's a massive conspiracy to stop us racing at the NSS but how has Matt Ford done it? It must be him because people keep telling me he is responsible for everything that goes wrong.

Well it be great now to order tickets online and print out because can check forecast first on day of meeting and decide to go or not, instead of having to order days in advance so well done Belle Vue on doing this !

It's fine buying tickets online but will they ever have a home meeting

Why such an early meeting? Not a thought about away fans or the riders from Poland!

I think the opposite. Leave home at 8.30 and trundle down, then be home no later than 7pm for those working the following day. I'd say it's very considerate.

agree totally, nice leisurely drive through the Peak District to get there, then back home at a reasonable time

Personally I would leave a bit earlier than that.Having been a regular traveller to Manchester in the past the traffic at times can be chaotic, coupled with it being a bank holiday I would give at least 4 hrs and more.

I'm leaving at 7am from Holbeach, took just over 2 and a half hours last time but with BH you never know what the traffic will be like .. rather be there early and grab a bite to eat than be panicking

also, do BV have track covers?

Done plenty of panicking in the past and plenty of swearing when the traffic is at a standstill.

See S.Lambert is riding with Rose on Monday according to the Belle Vue website. So does he assume Wilko's average and go into the 1-5,or does he go to reserve.

Firstly , our Good Friday start time at the Greyhound track was 1200 hrs or 1300 hrs in order to get Craig Cook up to Edinburgh for his home match,

Secondly the Bank Holiday Monday meetings which are a first for Belle Vue Speedway are set for 1200 hrs because there are Stock Cars at the Greyhound track at 1500 hrs on a Bank Holiday Monday ...there is no way that the Council will let the Speedway and the Stock Cars be on at the same time due to parking problems. So 1200 hrs is a good time to start.

Thirdly , Belle Vue used to go to King's Lynn for the May Bank Holiday with an 1100 hrs start time and I had no problems getting up at 0600 hrs and taking my friends to Kings Lynn picking them up at 0700 hrs..... in fact it made a great day out as we used to then go to Rye House for 1530 hrs and then the Wimbledon Internationale for 1930 hrs followed by Fish and Chips on the South Circular Road ... getting home in the early hours of the Tuesday morning ,,, bring back the good old days !!!!!

We'll be leaving at flipping 7 to hopefully make sure we are there on time :(

So up at 6 .... great!

To cap it all my sky box went wrong tonight so no bloody gp and BT don't seem to be showing it again!

Stock cars next door at four. Council don't want traffic chaos so asked what we start early.

Why didn't they ask the stock car people - Startrax Motorsport - to change their start time?

Ought to have done a swop imo, 4 pm start for the speedway, much better ....

Given you will use the same roads and unofficial car parks at the snooker club and cinema to park your car, I would suggest 'going first' is very much to speedways advantage...

Gates open at the stox at 230 so every chance no spaces will be the order of the day at this time around the area, apart from the dog track car park itself...

Could be total chaos to be honest given the same one road access to both stadiums..

At least we will be leaving any chaos not driving into it...☺
