Glasgow V Peterborough Sunday 1-5-16

Recommended Posts

I am coming up for this one and incorporating it with a visit to friend's. I am staying at the Premier Inn at Bearsden. Can someone tell me how far I am from the track ? As for the meeting we will do well to get a point so predict Glasgow 48 Panthers 42.

Coming out off Bearsden head for city centre at roundabout 3rd exit at bottom off Milngavie road 2nd exit head straight along Maryhill Road and follow signs for city centre until Esso Garage on left and turn left immediately after the Garage for Possil / Springburn it is give or take 3 - 4 miles.

Forecast to be around 7 degrees with a bit of rain forecast for Sunday. Prepare the track as deep as it was last week and we'd better have extra air fence panels ordered. Looking forward to this one and hopefully giving both sets of riders a circuit for racing.

Hope the weather plays ball as it should be a cracker.

Noticed that Peterborough have ordered tons of new shale at the riders request and are blaming that on there last two home defeats

If it's grippy as last week hopefully R Lawson can have another go at the track record after last weeks fastest time of the season.

Was interesting to hear in the bar afterwards that Barker and Garcia thought the track was too slick last week lol

Yeah let's get it back to being slick so we can watch a gating contest!!!

No thanks , last week was really entertaining . Forecast looking a bit better as they are saying the rain will stop around mid morning .

The mounds of dirt gathered at the bottom of the fence of the third and fourth bends after a couple of heats suggest it was overly deep. No one wants a gating contest but likewise heats where the leader races off into the sunset being so fast the rider behind has no chance of catching them.

Good to see Glasgow going well, always follow their results here from down under! Bet paulco is loving it 🍻

All it needed was for one of garcia, lunna or ayres to click and it seems garcias flying atm.

Exactly. All this talk of Glasgow being top heavy doesn't take account of such as Garcia going well and racking up points, and that the other two in their bottom three are also decent riders for their respective positions. More of a concern for Glasgow at the moment seems to be injury to Worrall. The Aces website doesn't update from its news article a week ago: http://www.bellevueaces.co/newsitem.aspx?id=1685

Richie is due back Tomorrow after resting up this week so back to full strength which is needed as it will be tough against the Panthers.

glasgow to miss worrall?

Yeah he's been brilliant this season , and rider replacement hasn't got near covering his points scoring . Panthers seem very unpredictable , impressive away from home though so we'll need to be at our best right from the start .
