New Averages (team Line Up Changes Updates)

Recommended Posts

Ffs there were rumors of holder average fixing last year too. Far more likely it's a combination of the heat format and not having his best bikes over here. What's the betting that now he is at second string he'll miraculously be "back in form" and banging in good scores?

Interesting how Holder is leading world standings and flying in GP but yet slipping nearer to reserve for Poole. Could the rumours of average fixing be true? Can only see him staying at reserve for couple of weeks if does go down

one more ????

Don't the reserves have to have ridden 2 home matches before they get a chance to move up, of is there a new complication to the already complicated rule?

Then they wonder why fans are walking away such a cock up

This weeks STAR a number of promoters saying what a mess it is, Neil Middleditch, Alun Rossiter and BSPA Chair Buster Chapman admits the result of allowing riders to go beyond the reserve berths was not fully considered. Justin Sedgmen at reserve and Charles Wright at number two what a farce. I can only assume that those who are now saying it's wrong, were asleep at the AGM when decisions were made. How you could not foresee this happening beggars belief and once again proves the sport is run by a bunch of amateurs.

I seem to remember Rosco saying something like they were rushed through at the last minute. They made up the bl##dy rule without thinking it through. They should have gone away for a few days and thought it through as I think it was easily spotted by some on here within a few hours of it being announced. It is obvious to anyone that the reserves should have only jumped from reserve to second string and then only to heat leader using their average calculated on their second string scores only.

If the calculating of averages of second string rides only is too restrictive then maybe a reserve should only be moved up to a second string and not a heat leader regardless of average.

On the green sheets for 30 5 16 no EDR rider is in a heat leader position, Buster could call a meeting and if all the clubs agree sort out a rule change, after giving it a bit of thought.

So Ellis goes from the main body back to reserve, has his worst ever meeting since joining Poole then goes back into the main body ? Try explaining that rule to a new supporter !

It's hardly a tough thing to explain surely. No different to say a tennis player winning Wimbledon but dropping their overall ranking.

There are some things in speedway that care rltricky to explain, but rolling averages are surely not one of them.
