Woz01
There is a deal. You still get in for £10. But this way rather than watching a meeting with 350 fans as everyone stays at home and their being no atmosphere you'll now be surroundd by 1000 fans and a great chance of some atmosphere all at 0 cost to you. We all moan clubs don't do anything to promote Sky meeting and get fans in but when Coventry do people complain. The people who ARE losing out are season ticket holders. The £10 offer is a good offer that isn't the issue. The issue is they announced Thursday that go to the Cradley meeting and you can get in for £10, so fans like me did. I wouldn't have gone otherwise. Why didn't they announce Thursday it was £10 for all? It feels like they just wanted people to attend the Storm. I apologise to Neil and the promotion for the use of the word scumbag, it was harsh of me to say that but I'm still bitterly disappointed. Didn't help that work messed up my pay this month!
Star Lady
As a goodwill gesture why don't they give a free prog on production of the Storm ticket.
Dornier
The deal was fans would save £7 by going to the storm match THEN after they`ve got your money the deal is changed. utterly disgusting.

Dornier
Anyone who went to the Storm meeting is saving £7. Just because that was one deal doesn't mean they can't have others.Yes but the problem is some only went to the storm because of the deal, they wouldn`t have gone otherwise consequently they were duped into going to a meeting they weren`t too fussed about seeing. consequently a bigger gate for Horton. In other words they didn`t need to go to the storm meeting after all they were duped into spending more.. SCB
Yes but the problem is some only went to the storm because of the deal, they wouldn`t have gone otherwise consequently they were duped. Anyone who paid £12 to save £7 didn't need to be duped, they're clearly mathematically retarded!

Dornier
If the meeting is rained off which it wont be, Micks probably looked at all the weather forecasts and hes pretty sure it wont be, will the offer now count for the next home meeting ? T.N.T.
Was thinking of going to this one but have decided to go to the local instead and watch it for a few reasons. The fact discounts are being given to just home fans (attend Storm) doesn't benefit away fans = The fact it's on TV is another and thirdly the fact my 15 year old has spent over two hundred quid from my account on XBox hasn't helped. Wolves to win again but should be closer as KK and King can't be as bad as last time but Howarth will be into double figures and taking an extra ride
waiheke1
Tnt. Have you just ignored the last 20 posts about the discount!?!
Bees_Man
Offer is now open to all, including away fans

Wolfsbane
Horton's obviously decided before the season started that Cov aren't going to go out in a blaze of glory. Playing the CVS game from a couple of years ago, get as much money in as possible for minimum outlay. The latter only woke up when the terraces started to empty and he realised he wouldn't have a viable fanbase left for the future. Unfortunately Horton doesn't appear to bothered about any possible future. In the back of your mind you've got to wonder if he'd really be fussed if you didn't get to the end of the season. Woz01
Im now not going tomorrow. I'm now going to spend my money watching Coventry Bears today where they have a similar offer, £10 today at the Ricoh keep your ticket £5 next week at the Butts Park Arena. I bet they don't change the offer after the event. You will continually lose fans when things like this happen, its already difficult attracting fans in Coventry as there are so many sports teams in the area. As ive said before the £10 offer is a good one but it should have been announced before the 2 NL meetings and not told you need to go and watch the storm to get in for £10. BWitcher
Once again this thread sums up just why speedway fans are some of the biggest moaners on the planet. Horton puts an offer up.. fans moan because it's only for those who attend the Storm meetings. Horton extends the offer so all can get a discount... fans continue to moan! FFS! You are getting off £7 entry to the meeting. There is nothing 'despicable', there is no 'miss selling'. Offers can be extended. New offers/promotions can be made. Clearly there wasn't much of an uptake on the Storm offer so Horton has extended it to try and ensure there is a decent sized crowd for the tv cameras and he is 100% correct in doing that. Im now not going tomorrow. I'm now going to spend my money watching Coventry Bears today where they have a similar offer, £10 today at the Ricoh keep your ticket £5 next week at the Butts Park Arena. I bet they don't change the offer after the event. What a muppet. So you pay money to attend a meeting you say you didn't want to go too, to get a discount to a meeting you are now no longer going to go to.
