Alarmingly Low Crowds

Anyway...I'm off to the 'boring' speedway as you like to refer to it. Looking forward to some good racing and some sensible banter.

I suggest you put me on ignore as I'm going to do likewise...you'll soon be talking to yourself and arguing about who's right ;-) Enjoy ;-)

I'm afraid this, again, sums you up Gresham.

When you don't even remember what you have posted about, what you have giving countless posters big long sermons about, it really is pointless.

The 'Boring' was in reference to you.

YOU are the one who on post after post has told us how 'Boring' the sport is.

I don't put people on ignore and if I did I wouldn't 'announce' it, that's simply a childish attention seeking act.

This whole situation arose because you began preaching the false conception that 'racing' was so much better in the past. Numerous posters, not just myself pointed out to you the errors in your argument. You were referred to countless hours of footage which PROVES the racing wasn't as great as you say it was, yet your response was to become abusive and you've continued that posture from there onwards.

Your use of the ignore feature says only one thing, you want to surround yourself in a little bubble where only sycophants who blindly agree with you are viewed. In reality, it's the action of someone who knows they are wrong but isn't adult enough to admit it.

Like I said before Bwitcher...there is no point discussing anything with you, because you just don't read posts correctly or understand them.

I replied in an adult fashion in post 35, the one I referred to. I also explained my tirade in the post above.

See...you really don't seem to understand plain English, so it's difficult to have any discussion with you.

You Missed out Thick . I have had him blocked since 2010 , and have told him more than once that is the case ,but he still keeps commenting on my posts , I have no idea what he says unless someone quotes him . but I dont need to see because without doubt , it will be some sort of abuse , Just Block him .tell him you have ,and then when you see he has replied to your post ,just have a little chuckle and think " Thick Twatt" never gets the message!

The block system is that the person who imposes it does not see the message as such, but they are advised that a message was sent to them by the blocked person. They also have an invitation to click on to a Link to see the blocked message if they want to. But I am sure this is only information that you are fully aware of?

Seeing as he has stated he has used the system since 2010 is this a sarcastic comment on his intelligence? :P

Seeing as he (speedibee) has replied to posts of mine on many occasions since '2010' his entire attention seeking, insult laden post can safely be ignored.

There was a good crowd in Wolves on monday ,and the racing was good as well .problem is if you were inspired by the sights and sounds ,and encouraged someone else to come and sample it , what the chances of it being the same next week ?

The crowd was good at Wolves on Monday but the racing was not that good

As some people seem to have a problem at Coventry counting beyond 28 I'd just like to confirm there was a pretty good crowd at the Storm v Cradley match tonight. At a guess I'd say there were at least 350 cars and 11 dogs. Just a shame it wasn't a particularly good match.

Cracking meeting last night at Somerset, good racing with a reasonable sized crowd. Was stood chatting next to people from Exeter, Plymouth and Workington...Speedway fans really do put in the miles to see their sport.

In Somerset's case, and maybe other tracks, I'd say changing their race night would be an advantage to gaining more fans, especially from North.

M5 on that stretch, on a Friday night southbound, is an absolute ball ache. 2.5hrs to travel 40 miles is ridiculous. Puts anyone off going. Even the meeting started late because the Ambulance was stuck in traffic. Was back home in 40 mins.

Good racing made it worthwhile though.

Wish I had seen some action at Somerset when I was still going to speedway. Closest I got was travelling with a certain Humphrey Appleby to find that the meeting had been cancelled...I seem to recall it was a Somerset vs. Poole Inter League Challenge affair? At least I got to see the track which looked to be a good shape.

Myself and my boy used to go to Somerset regularly on fridays for him to ride in the second half , Oh dear bank holiday fridays ,I can still rmemeber the smell of boiling engines and other peoples burned fuel as we sat in traffic jams . one Fri we were a bit late leaving ,arrived at the stadium at 9.40 did 2 second half races and left again at 10.05

Perhaps just as well then that only a very small percentage of fans ever come on here and those who don't are still attending matches happily knowing nothing about the whingeing and moaning that goes on.
