jenga
No thanks he wouldn't be an improvement , he can't gate any better than M.P.T. and I can't ever remember him having a decent meeting around the showground and there is not much out there who would be an improvement although I can think of one particular rider who may become available who has a good pedigree of heatleader standard and would be well suited to the showground, I imagine Ged will be well aware of his situation and on his radar if the chance arises ,wont name him as I wouldn't want to alert other clubs of his possible availability. Otherwise it's as you were and stick with what we've got and regroup. stuck for a rider ? one who can get you 12/15 sometimes 18 points a meeting . makes R lambert look like a newbie . then look to the north west .. shouldnt be too hard to find out his name . but you will have drop a couple of riders and bring in a lower order one ..... his is , i aint goint to tell you, but he is available . you scratch my back new era panther and i willsacratch yours by the way of a pm . EnglishRoundabout
The track was prepared as the team wanted it, it was different to normal and it was also clear they were just as bad on that as they were on a really grippy surface like they got against Sheffield the other week. Perry was 3 times British Grass Track Champion, can trap and has already proved he can ride anything and is looking a steal on a 3.00 average. Some of his more established team mates need to sort themselves out, Allen and Wilson Dean were both riding Alwalton for the first time yesterday and didn't appear to have any problem finding the set up. To be fair, I expect they were advised to set their engines up similar to the Somerset's track. Both circuits you need to 'wind the throttle open', both have a few passing lines and both very fast. That said, it does puzzle me why Peterborough have a poor record at the OTA in recent seasons.
jenga
Putting more shale on doesn't automatically make it more grippy. It's how it's binded together that makes the grip. You don't want it very grippy anyway with all those Danes. Why not prepare the track to suit both the types of rider? Or don't you have a track man that could do that? You can tell by where the rider rides on the track by what he prefers get the farmers in , they can handle ant shot thats thrown their way .. EnglishRoundabout
What a performance and what a result this is for the Rebels. I think this will make people sit up and take notice of us for sure. Charles Wright has been sensational this year so far for us and Swindon, and still a lot to offer from Starke to come we have a mighty strong top 5 if Tungate can remain consistent. Wilson Dean has surprised many including myself and looks a very handy reserve. I feel for Zack and I'm sure in the coming weeks he will soon be banging on the points that many expected of him at the start of the year. Sublime from Grajczonek and Allen too. Zach has plenty of potential and although not scoring too many at the moment, he seems to be on the pace in every meeting. He's an improvement compared to Ollie Greenwood and Benji Compton. Baldyman
What about max fricke or cook? Surely they could do with a few extra meetings
Alex2000
Just saying Ellis would not need to be dropped by Eastbourne as the rule change allows you to ride in both as long as the NL contract is signed first.
scoobydoo
Think Panthers need to really find a proper new number one then shuffle the pack downwards, leaving out then either Grondal Lambert or MPT depending on averages . Porsing as a second string would allow him to pair up with NBJ and Ulrich as the second heat leader.

flagrag
Jenga- If we are both thinking of the same rider who has been let down by rides in Poland on Sunday's then yes he would be an excellent if not expensive signing for the Panthers but could turn the season around. I just have a feeling though this rider may prefer to wait and see if can get picked in Poland a bit longer
TheScotsman
I would be surprised if Cookie dropped back down to the PL.
CaptainAudi
I would be surprised if Cookie dropped back down to the PL.If he did, then he would more than likely be part of a Monarchs re-shuffle than anywhere else, and that won't happen Can't see him back in this league for a good while, bit pointless to give up on Poland this early in the season when it's just getting started. stevehone
with Truckfest next weekend at the Showground it should definitely pack the track down how the riders want it
flagrag
As much as I think Craig Cook does not want to ride in the PL again if he continues to not getting picked in Poland then he may have to reconsider as is not riding enough to remain sharp for the EL and also I am sure he do with the extra income. The lower league Polish clubs are well known to sign riders promising meetings every week but then only pick UK based riders for a few selected matches I know Simon Stead,Danny King and Ben Barker have had the same with only riding 2-3 meetings normally at the end towards the play offs. Its not an option for Cook to go back to Edinburgh this season anyway as your not allowed to sign for clubs that have the same regular race night which both Belle Vue and Edinburgh now have in Friday's. So if he does want more racing it will have to be elsewhere would the Panthers fit Cook and Ellis in by replacing MPT and Porsing ?

I had completely forgotten about Belle Vue being a Friday night now, though a good reminder would be for them to ride a home meeting sometime soon...
