waco
There are novices and there are novices,at the moment ,Raiders are a bit behind some of the others.we have to hope there will be improvements sooner rather than later ,other wise it will be along hard season..
cityrebel
I'm not too impressed with the 6pm start time for these sunday meetings. Not very family friendly for kids with school on monday mornings, or for the likes of me who has to be up at 5am for work!.
Shadders
I'm not too impressed with the 6pm start time for these sunday meetings. Not very family friendly for kids with school on monday mornings, or for the likes of me who has to be up at 5am for work!.I'm up at 5am for work too. How much sleep do you need? Mind you, I'm only 4 or 5 minutes drive from the track!! Â The early evening start time gives families a chance to do something during the morning/afternoon and get to see some speedway too. A mid afternoon start could put some off, especially during warmer weather. On the other hand, many NL meeting go on for ever due to numerous falls. We'll be lucky if we're out of there before 8pm, too late for those with very young children who have to travel far. waco
A good compromise would maybe an hour or two earlier..but then again what ever time they start it will not suit everyone...
Brummiestormer
What about us travelling down---4pm would be much better--but then again tracks don't tend to cater for away fans anyway lol

Shadders
Weather update: Sun is shining, but it's breezy and quite chilly. Expected to be around 6 or 7 degrees Celsius by 6pm, but it'll feel a lot colder!

All tracks have their race days / start times to suit the home fans firstly. Isle of Wight on a Tuesday is hardly convenient but you're travelling.................

Is there a more inconvenient away meeting than IOW? Tuesday night overseas with awful transport links. Ben91
How did i know that was coming you odious character---you've always been. Â So let me get this straight... You've decided against going to a meeting because of something a poster on an internet forum has said. Then you've called them an odious character because your nose was put out of joint by some pretty placid comments. Who's lost out today, you have because you'd probably be seeing your side pick up a pretty convincing away win.

Shadders
Cracking heat 15. Almost worth enduring the mediocre 14 heats before it. That's not really fair on Rob Branford who's always great entertainment at this level. Very low crowd, around 200 I'd say. The £15 50/50 raffle prize says it all Brummie reserves look decent Edited April 24, 2016 by Shads
barraider
Totally agree nearly heat 13 weren't bad either, raiders res poor but fair play to the brummies Was going to have a beer in the long bar after but the jcb's beat me in there
