King's Lynn V Poole 27/4/16 7.30pm (skysports)

Recommended Posts

Yes when Ellis comes in as Poole number one we are going to sign Dudek to replace him.

Wow. I hadn't read about that. A bit of a shame for Ellis, especially as he was under the impression he couldn't be promoted to the 1-5 so wouldn't have expected his success to have back fired on him.

It will be interesting what options Ellis has for a team berth. I suspect he will remain a Tier 2 EDR but carrying a heat leaders average. It may be possible for a team like Coventry to bring him in as a second Tier 2 EDR as per the rules. He would then ride as heat leader and probably reduce his average to a more reasonable value, allowing space for a further big signing in their 1-5.

So could work at well for one of the teams currently struggling. Will certainly be interesting to see who has space for him next month.

You joke but if Ellis was to break his leg on Wednesday (and please nobody think I'm in any way hope he does!) then Poole would be allowed 9 point guests for him for the rest of the season. But if his average was a point lower and he was in reserve but Newman was in the 1-5 then Ellis could only be replaced by 4.5 PL riders.

That is an utter madness!

FFS that is insane.

I come on here occasionally when I've got a few minutes to look for a chuckle. I cannot understand why the few remaining followers of speedway in this country don't wake up and smell the coffee. The sport is a shambolic joke. Why on earth waste money on what can only be described as a farce?

Farcical and Lo and behold what team are bending the rules yet again! No point in people moaning as Poole just do what they please. How low this once great sport has become

You don't even know whats being talked about, yet this is the first thread you jump on. Funny that... Says it all about your hate of poole. But then again, we would expect nothing less from you...

Not a chance of getting a guest of that standard.

Why on earth this British speedway still has to be so complicated?

EDR, FTR, R/R, guests, PL average, converted average etc.

One really good idea to promote young Brits has already been turned into a farce with 40 years old Robson guesting on Wednesday.

Why can't they go Polish way and make it simple?

2 under 21 Brits/team. Then they can move up from reserve to main body if they are good enough. Someon may say that there is no 16 U21 Brits good enough to ride in 8 EL clubs.

Believe me, in Poland some of them are also bad but make progress and later they become next Zmarzlik, Pawlicki, Dudek to only name 3 top young riders.

System simply works and you tried to follow but already cocked it up.

I give up. I'm not sure any more who is taking the mickey and who isn't.

We were reading exactly the same type of post a couple of days before Poole went to Coventry.

Poole never win big away from home.

KL have Iversen 12-14 points.

Nicholls 10-12

Lambert 8-10

MadsK 8-10

This will be close again. 47-43. The loss of Newman the deciding factor.

ok I'm going to try again and see if you can understand my post this time. You MAY be right with the scoreline. BUT if you think Poole are weaker with Robson then I will say again it's a trolling post looking for a response or showing a lack of intellect. I hope that's in plain English this time for you as I would hate for you to ask for an apology yet again. Be interesting if Robbo gets 7 or 8 and you lose because then who do you blame? Surely the rules insist that there are 2 FTRs in the team - whether they are riding at heat leader or not??

Yes the rules are that you can only replace a draft rider with another from the list.

That said the rule book seems to be changing daily this year based on what situation Poole find themselves in.

Have I missed something here?

What bending of the rules yet again?

I don't see any 'bending of the rules'. It seems like some hysterical post after some other posters have gone off on one because they too don't know the rules.

The rules are there to see about replacements as Skidder1 posted yesterday. Do you and others really believe that Matt Ford is going to announce a guest for a sick rider 48 hours in advance that is illegal? What would be the point?

The hysteria on here is hilarious.
