Pirates Of Poole
Yes Poole have been stopped like anyother club would have been no special treatment like some of the junk written on here.
SteveLyric2
I have 2 queries over this..... Is it the Danes or the Aussies that prefer wet tracks? Why have Poole gone for Bates? Surely Starke (with his main team EL experience) would have been a better bet and with a greater affinity to the team?!
SCB
I have 2 queries over this..... Is it the Danes or the Aussies that prefer wet tracks? Why have Poole gone for Bates? Surely Starke (with his main team EL experience) would have been a better bet and with a greater affinity to the team?! Starke has an EL average of over 5 so doesn't fit! foreverblue
i think this should be a cracker and hoping to attend a meeting contested by two well put together team and Scott Nicholls is a terrific guest so hopefully a good enjoyable meeting and hoping Bjarne will have his gating boots on. Making the long trip but confident it will be on as sky will be there.
Alan_Jones
Poole try and do what they want only this time they have been (quite rightly) stopped. Happens every year they try to pull the odd stroke You're not getting it are you? No strokes were pulled, the Robson booking was strictly by the book. The MC then made up a new rule to counter the perfectly legal unintended consequence of a 39 year old rider guesting for an EDR.
SteveLyric2
Yes fair point SCB, but I'm sure there could have been another 'add-on' ruling - as Starke's really only a Tier 2 EDR!!! ;-) Edited April 27, 2016 by Skidder1

LisaColette
It's one of his favourite tracks, apparently. Just hope he (Bates) stays on his bike!! Edited April 27, 2016 by lisa-colette

Daniel Smith
Leicester had first choice!! First choice of what? There were no draft picks in 2016. Clubs & riders signed where & who they wanted due to averages. Is he a Leicester asset?

Trees
Maybe he showed Ford the 2 fingers for not believing in him this year Starke should've just been honoured to race in the mighty Pirates colours 😉

Steve Shovlar
Read my post. I said Bates will be a better rider than Newman if he isnt already. For what its worth i think Newman is just ahead of him for now but i would say Bates wont take long to improve past a rider who has stalled at Premier level and is happy sweeping up as a fast track rider. I dont think it weakens you to much tonight. Look at Newmans scores. Look at Bates scores. Tell me now it doesn't weaken us. If Bates scores what Newman would have, say 9-10 points tonight, then he would have covered Newman. Any less and we would be down on points. semion
Weaken you ? not really Shovvy, You are forgetting to factor in that special ingredient. Middlo. He has to be worth 4/5 points to any team. That has to more than compensate for a lost couple of points at Reserve. Not withstanding that Bjarne will score 8/9 compared to Watt's ...say 2/3. You do worry yourself about things. It will be fine... Please don't upset yourself. Edited April 27, 2016 by semion

Is he a Leicester asset? Of course there were picks. Not all riders are assets of EL clubs so there had to be some picks.
Steve Shovlar
I get it but they the rule was stopped for a reason and time and again its the same club. So basically you have been proved completely wrong but still accuse Poole of cheating even though they have played in completely by the book! Your blind hatred of Matt Ford makes your posts meaningless because they lack subjectiveness.
