Especially on a thread that appears to have no factual basis! Just expressing my opinion. At least I appear to be important somewhere - unlike some others. It's not what it's cracked up to be - it can lead to delusions of adequacy as I am sure you will be aware. I've done my 'bit' and happy to let others be 'important' now while I just pass on some of what I learned in my time. Anyway congratulations on being important, doing a minor role (piss-poorly if you are who I think you are) in a minor sport. There appear to be two elements here: One, "genuine British riders". These apparently do not include among their number those born in the Antipodean Republic of Scunthorpe to British parents. Tbh I don't blame him for going down the British route. It is faster to get into GPs when you're relying on a pick than being an Aussie. Makes sense. It must have been hard for him getting in the gp's if he was an Aussie what with no Crump, no Adams and all those other wonderful Aussie riders i can think of like..............................erm..............................no cant think of anyone. Lets be honest when Tai was to join the GP there was only Holder as Tai was ahead of Ward back then so wouldnt have any issues getting in to the gp as an Aussie. I may be wrong but i think the fact he was born in the UK to British parents made him want to be British.
