Gavan
Why? It's his personal choice as it is every other riders. Plenty of missing riders would have increased the turn out so it's rather ridiculous to pin it just on Tai. Oh and Tai has done more charity work during the past few years than any other rider, gosh what an absolutely bloody awful role model he is! No point discussing with Robert72 mate, his only agenda on every thread is to have a pop at Tai. Very sad individual

Very sad individual So it's wrong to be annoyed that a British world champion snubs a very important meeting called the Ben fund that helps riders paralysed in his own country. all of these paralysed riders in the uk were not lucky enough to be associated with an energy drink teams at the time of there accident and rely on the help from Ben fund. Who knows Maybe tai is going to donate the money from the training schools to the Ben fund.

robert72
Did you go to the Ben Fund meeting? Ask me a better question like do I put money into the Ben fund every year ? YES Do you ? also why are you not disappointed about the fact the Ben fund charity lost a chance of making a huge amount of money and publicity had he rode. orion
Not a tai fan but you got to take everything on it's merits ..not sure you can question him when it comes to charity work etc Edited April 26, 2016 by orion

His charity work has been exemplary. My only gripe with the guy is he cant be arsed to ride here. If he is tired, then drop Sweden. Riding for the right EL club would not only raise his profile but also attract quality UK sponsorship. As it is he is almost an unknown over here. He's a double world champion & IMO a million light years in front of his current rivals, he gives all for team GB, did you watch his performance in Denmark last year ? I was there & his riding made me very proud to be British with the commitment he shoed, You go on about the Ben Fund, he was at Leicester when he was World Champion! All what he has done for charity is remarkable & regarding turning his back on the EL. I can fully understand why, its his business that can come to a abrupt end, just look at Darcy! so he would be a fool not to go where its most lucrative. for one when I go to Belle Vue for the British Final totally understand why Tai is not competing.

It seems everybody was ok with tai singing his heart out to the Australian national anthem then disrespecting the British anthem. Time bomber was made team GB captain he has been a great servant to British speedway.

It's all about money,it's what we all go to work for and I for one don't blame him.If he can earn more money in Poland/Sweden why should he ride here if he feels its to much.I don't know how much he earns but say he got £5000 from Sweden/Poland combined or he could do Poland/GB for £4000.What would you do,i know what I would do as well as 90% of the population.

Changing your tune now I see to another irrelevant topic on this thread... Incidentally, I went to a Portugal football match at the local stadium here recently and I sang along to the Portuguese national anthem.. well, more la la'd along to it as don't know the words fully. Does it make me Portuguese? Nope. Tai grew up in Australia, that's the national anthem he is bound to know best and will have sung/heard it many times no doubt at school/speedway events. None of this matters of course, because you're just a very bitter, very jealous man. I do hope Tai wins the World Title again this year.. and again.. and again.. and again.. and again.. you'll implode!

Sidney the robin
I doubt he'll be staging them the night before or afternoon after a GP, so highly doubtful.Witcher I admire Tai ,he has done really well i can see why people are bitter towards him though. His first try in the GPS he was totally out of his depth, he got a wild card entry into the WS i think he was a 500/1 outsider? is that right? Now to get in the series is so hard as i have said before the series is a closed shop hope Dudek Vaculiev, get in don't have to rely on a favour or two to get in.My point is Tai is a great champion but he has been so lucky over a period to make his mark fair play i support Tai hope he wins a third title.
