Swindon V Belle Vue 21/04/16

Eh? There is no way Richie Worrall would have scored what they got from RR. The problem in the rules is in the FTR department!

He has been scoring well so far this season. His recent away score at Leicester was 8 (3,0,3,2*) and he's been in great form at Glasgow.

It's not ideal having to use draft reserves to cover for a rider in the top 5

I do agree about the Fast track draft being a problem this year though. Terrible when teams can just pick 2 riders near the top of the draft (or should be graded higher) like Poole & Leicester whilst some teams have been left with 2 riders low down making them weak. If it's not going to be done fairly then it should be scrapped and their should be a 2 Brits per team rule instead

it's amazing last year when you had Garrity last year you never seemed to be worried about unfair .

The beginning did it for us, after that we pretty much matched them and considering we had to use EDR's to cover a rider currently third in our averages, I'll take that.

I don't know if we just picked the wrong gates to begin with as that was unfortunately where the match was decided.

As a sport we need to work on this to entice the newbies in who have no allegiance to a team and just want to be entertained.

Congratulations to Swindon on a deserved win. I predicted we would lose without Richie and Swindon having Grajczonek as a second string and Tungate at reserve. However, the deciding factor seemsto have been good night's for Sedgman and Morris and a poor night for Cook.

Dont think you can blame just cook. I'd say both he and zagar scored a couple less than you'd expect, and Nicholls and Worrell a point less.

Also don't understand people saying aces were strengthened by rr for richie Worrell. Essentially it meant instead if having him for 3 rides, aces had Steve for one and Jacobs for two - which surely is weaker. But wouldn't have made a difference.

Just tells you how strong it is doesn't it..

BV's let down was Craig Cook.

Not just Cookie, Zagar is so bloody inconsistent, hammered Doyley in heat 15 to stop his max, but finishes third twice.... 13123, so is Scottyboy... 22031. Should have been more of a rout, 22-8 after 5 heats!

Good result for Roscos Roobins, both Justin and Nick upped their performances and Jason had a great night followed by Josh and Rohan. Charles was struggling but there was no shame in that since he was a reserve racing as a heat leader under this crazy system, he should have been allowed to ride as a second string.

Some fans have written Swindon off and put them in the bottom half of the table, lets see what happens by the end of May.

I think we will be in play-offs, the Aussie boys were all well up for it, fight and determination, and very positive when interviewed. Good to have a chat to you last night Orlovski, those houses are so bloody close to the pits! Good to have brief chat to the legend Broady. Not very good crowd, not much over 1000, but they will soon increase if The Roobins keep riding like they did last night...brilliant performance and team-spirit.

Only 4 heat wins for BV, first time they haven't got a point this season, after 2 big away wins, but no doubt they will be top 4 when they get some home matches under their belts. Good to see coachload of away fans.

Charles has gone from being totally shielded from heat leaders to facing them in every race, sometimes three of them at a time.

Is he on proper pay rates now or still on the FTR pittance?

I was wondering that, it would not be right if he was on the ftr rate when he may only score 1 or 2 points due to this somewhat strange system.

FTR is a problem full stop !!!

Sitting back home in aus, peeing myself at the mess the BSPA have made of this FTR.

You now have an aussie, thanks for that , and another foreigner at Leciseter in the el FTR.

In the PL, you have guys that werent good enough for the league now averaging 5 points and making themselfs unemployable next year.

What a cockup you couldnt make it up, lol.,

The score line flattered us a lot TBH. Felt like a 60-30 defeat TBH.

Track wasn't the best I thought. But that's no excuse. Both teams have to ride it.

That R/R rule is a joke. Only the reserves could take the R/R for us.

Well done swindon. A good win.

Well it's none of your business for a start. Foreigners aren't FTR riders, even if they drop to reserve.

What a really good performance from the Budgies, the Aces looked really slow from the tapes and looked rusty. The track was quite slick and it was not a great nights racing Doyley really on it and i am chuffed Sedgy looks like he has turned the corner. As for these stupid RULES in speedway what muppet make them up ? moving draft riders into a heat leader position and well the R/R rule what a farce that is.

I think Swindon made them look slow, power gating and well up for it those Budgies...from the first heat 5-1 when Matty was left for dead...should have hit 60, eased off in the second-half.

I remember there being a draft pick last year so if you picked the strongest rider in tier 1 then you got last pick of tier 2. Isn't that correct?

This year teams can have best of both drafts whilst others have 2 low ones

Congratulations to the Robins on a fine all round team performance - Rosco certainly had them pumped up and the Aces were blown away in the early heats.

Craig Cook again disappointed at the Abbey Stadium - he really doesn't go well round Blunsdon.

I thought all the Robins put in a shift, Charlie Wright deserved more from his efforts at number 3 and Stefan Nielsen did his best.

A very positive attitude seemed to emanate from the Swindon pits last night with Jason leading the team from the front.

What did you think was wrong with the track? Like a billiard table compared with the Wolves meeting.

I just thought BV were rusty and Swindon took full advantage.

The standard of pairings is wider than ever. I actually think our pairing will do ok apart from facing Poole and Leicester, we showed even in those meetings our pairing can beat them occasionally.
