gee jay
Comfortable win for Birmingham i'd say, favourites for the title at this very early stage as their team looks stronger than all the others. Birmingham by 12+ maybe at the start of the season that was true but i don't think there is much between them and kent now . the brummies v kings meetings look like they'll be worthy of tv coverage but of course that's pie in the sky (pun intended)

pete cc
Here's for an Away point! I can see why both sides wanted this fixture early though! We're trying to catch them with less track time and they are trying to catch us with rusty reserves! Just seen my doctor, He said that when you get to certain age it is only expected that you get rusty reserves.
Ommer Mon
Wonderfully sunny day in Brum. Not a cloud in the sky but a bit cool. Looking forward to tonight. I think it's going to be an entertaining meeting.
Hunty
Intresting this...Some of the Heathens are way way way off the pace! Thank god for play offs cause this team wont win the league! Got a lot of improving to do over the season!
mac101
Maybe the Birmingham team are better they look good all the way through the team no weak riders
Hunty
They are a good team, think tonight the Heathens were shown how to build a team! Should be us two in the final but only one winner at the moment!
Heathen1984
Hunty, Cradley wont finish top half with that team, u cant rely on 3 riders every meeting. That result was expected tonight, no team will beat brum there thou.
TurnTwo
I think Eastbourne may stand a chance Adam Ellis rode there the whole year Jake knight got 11 Charley Powell got 8+1 Ellis perks rode there the whole year Georgie wood got 12 Luke Harris rode there all last year

lucifer sam
Not a bad meeting, although Birmingham clearly have a better all-around team, and badly exposed Cradley's bottom end. The riders from both teams approached it in the right spirit; a couple of times, the Heathens' lads dragging the bikes off the track to let the race continue. Shame about some of the Brummies fans, who cheered when an opposing rider fell off. All the best Rob
StephenMiller
Fans of all clubs have always cheered when opponents fall off... doesn't make it right of course, but I don't think you will ever get it stopped. Personally, I thought this was a thoroughly enjoyable meeting with some very good racing. A number of the youngsters showing clear improvement from 2015 season. Kudos to both sets of riders for giving 100% effort
uk_martin
...Shame about some of the Brummies fans, who cheered when an opposing rider fell off... Strewth, this bunch of sour grapes again. Are you sure they were cheering with delight at the fall and possible injury to the opposition rider? Do you really think that they are all sadists in that way? Or were they cheering the fact that the Brummies were going to score some more points to aid the cause? Did you ask them? Maybe we should ask now...hands up all the Brummies sadists who really want to see opponents fall, possibly injuring themselves into the bargain...keep your hands up while Lucifer Sam counts them...well, how many were there? Ommer Mon
Oh well, I was pretty close with my initial assessment of 52-38 with the Brummie Second Strings and Reserves making the difference. Credit to Cleggy, Ash and Luke for making a match of it. Jack and Ben also put a lot of effort into it and will get better. There was some excellent racing with the Heathens making the gate on many occasions only to be picked off in great style. The Brummies have got a cracking side and we have got a lot of improving to do to catch them. Could be a different story at Monmore Wood though as, apart from Daryl and Tom, the Brummies won't have seen a great deal of it. Could be one to look forward to! Roll on Monday when we can take on the Young Stars.
pete cc
I know i may be shot down but, after seeing him 3 times i think James Purchase maybe wasting his time & ours. I'm sure he's a very nice chap but, he's not yet shown enough to justify the cost to himself yet.(ok i'll get my coat)

Reviresco
I see Bradley Andrews managed to stay on for four laps and picked up 2 points due to Chessell's fall in Heat 12. For those that went, was there any signs of improvement last night from the young Kiwi? Thanks.

Sour grapes? In what way? I was an Oxford fan - we never rode against Birmingham (we moved down as Birmingham moved up, and we moved back up as Birmingham shut down). There were a section of Brummies' fans cheering when the Heathens fell. In particular, a loud cheer when Luke Chessell fell in Heat 12, which changed a 3-3 to... er.. a 3-3. Lots more points to Brummies' cause there then!! I made a few neutral observations about the meeting. If you don't like that, then tough. pete cc
Andrews will improve, yes he did look better last night, only fell off once, Not on the pace but, looked alittle steadier.
