Sidney the robin
If Poole do not win this match by more than 12 points i will be very surprised,is Watt at reserve and Newman in the top five now? SteveLyric2
The only change in riding order for Wednesday is Hans and Buzz swapping!! It won't be Watt at reserve even after the 2nd away meeting is over ( thats the meeting at Coventry on Friday). Rolling averages will keep Watt in the 1-5 for the time being, but it could be Ellis (currently higher MA than Newman) replacing Kurtz by the 29th April!! Starman2006
Once upon a time a thread like this would have generated a lot of interest and banter but with such an inevitably about the result and a drop in crowds makes it a bit of a non starter. Poole to win. Don't be daft, there will be no drop in the crowd at Poole. And if you don't get a big one for the return then there's something wrong.. packerman
Been a drop of at least 1 a meeting in the last couple of years as I can't get there most weeks due to work! Edited April 16, 2016 by Packerman

If Newman out scores Ellis over the two matches i think SCB said by three points he will go in the top five is that right.? Whatever happens Ellis has started the season like a train, at the Abbey the other week he really had his gating boots on was smooth looked a lot quicker and more aggressive.I know maybe he did not like the Lakeside track but he would of learned a lot from that experience and i hope Adam now can kick on in his career chuffed for him as we all knew he had the talent.
LisaColette
Woryna average is 4 Garrity is 5.08, so you are right with Garrity and the reserves.Ah, thought so. Thanks. If Coventry are going to keep it within 10-12, then Bates will have to get 7+
BANANAMAN
Steve Shovlar, on 15 Apr 2016 - 11:03 PM, said: Next Wednesday see the second time these two clubs meet this season. Pirates came out on top first time around but the Coventry riders have had a feel of the track now and should be more dialled in. Garrity is starting to score, KK and Harris are certainly firing on all cylinders and Bates has just won the British U21 championship. The loss of the young Pole is a setback but a guest who is a track specialist could help. With Watty struggling with personal issues. This meeting could be a lot closer than the ES. In my opinion a 6 point Poole win, with some very good racing. The reserves to make the difference. Thoughts? Sure this it tongue in cheek Steve !! Pirates by at least a dozen .. Just hope the regulars don't get fed up with the weekly whitewashes & start to pick their meetings .

I get what Gavan is saying but some people like going to watch a meeting that they know their team isn't going to lose and some like close meetings, and some don't mind as long as there is good racing. Everyone is different! Thank you. i wasnt trying to be anti-poole just certain fans cant afford to go every week and im sure they will pick and choose their meetings. I spend around £60 when i attend Ipswich and i dont have the time to always go or use that money when i have children. Therefore i look at the fixtures and see who i would rather watch. All im saying is that if Poole streamroller teams then those fans who just about afford to go every week might turn round and say 'its only Leicester this week , we wil thrash them so im saving my money' It has nothing to do about 'real fans' its to do in my case about more important things to use my money on
poole keith
agree with you gavan, can see a lot of people picking their meetings this yr,of course this will have no effect on the large number of holidaymakers attending during the summer months, they attend regardless(doesnt even matter who the promoter is)
LisaColette
Funnily enough in the past when I could afford the time/money to go more frequently I chose certain meetings based on how many riders I liked in the opposing team! Lol.

Poole to win. Drop in crowd? There's been no drop in the crowd size at Poole as the team is is an exciting mix of racers and the racing so far this season has been good. Winning = big crowds. You will always get your regulars/season ticket holders, then your pick and choosers, then your playoff only fans. Weather and holiday makers play a part in crowd sizes but its been good so far and I would expect another good crowd on Wednesday if the weather is decent enough. The facility available for a missing rider 4th or 5th in the averages is rider replacement only. Then I will reassess my prediction to a 12 point win. And if you don't get a big one for the return then there's something wrong.. Errr there is a lot wrong with speedway in general. I personally pick my meetings carefully --- I enjoy close scores and hard fought racing. I dislike smooth blue line tracks and processional racing. Most of all I will not spend my hard earned cash on foregone conclusions. I believe a lot more fans have the same opinion. Poole will win --- sad but true. I will not be attending and I know a few others who have said the same. Edited April 16, 2016 by fliss44

If so its more to do with the crappy team you have than anything else.
