what Gaz said, after the crash barker was shouting abuse at matty and had to be pushed away by Doolan and I think the Glasgow TM, please someone correct me if I'm wrong, because he was trying to go for Matty, Matty went away to hospital with an arm injury, unsure about Worrall, apparently stuff went on in the medical room as well, where ever that happens to be

Have a look at the video on the Glasgow site not once did Ben have a go at Matty in-fact he pointed at track staff to remove the bike from Matty maybe you mis-took this for Ben having a go at him which the Video clearly shows he did not.

Video taken from Glasgow Tigers official site of last Sunday`s crash between Ritchie Worrall and Mathew Wethers, thank God for air fences.

Couldn't agree more - dread to think how this could have turned out if there was no air fence.

Clean pass by Worrall on the inside but Wethers seemed to pick up some unwanted drive - racing accident IMHO.

Matt certainly shut the door coming out of turn 4 on the previous lap but didn't look to be anything malicious either.

Certainly just looked like a racing accident IMO .Lookd like Matty just picked a little drive the lap before and got it back under control.Fence certainly done its job .

Absolutely, two riders racing, and credit to Barker for firstly getting the bike down so quickly, then going over to help both injured riders by the looks of things.

I think you'll find that the camera man has commented on the FB video to say that he had missed Barker's incident on camera, I am certainly not making it up, anyways why would glasgow post a video of one of their riders showing acts of violence to an opposing injured rider on there own facebook page

So you reckon Ben Barker helped clear the bikes (both bikes), safety fence etc and then after a good minute or so decided to start trying to attack Matthew Wethers? Or perhaps what is more likely to have happened is that something else was said that provoked him to act in the way he did.

Then he would still be out of order wouldn't he.

Yes but not exclusively to blame like people are making out. Like I say, I wasn't in attendance and from what I had read his first move was to approach Wethers whilst he was still lying on the track, the video shows that is not the case.

Like yourself I wasn't there either . but I don't like to see aggression shown to riders who have fallen at fault or not rather see the aggression racing on track.

I'm not having a pop all II'm saying is that inever seen anything like you say on the day or Iin the video now we all know Ben is no angel but from what I see he is only trying to help.

Best to move on from this now and focus on another cracker on Saturday I was really impressed with the Bandits on Sunday so it ain't going to be a gimme just hoping we get the point we need before we have to go to the arena of gloom.

Seems you are correct (see weblink below). Having had a look at the online video Barker runs towards the fallen rider/bike in a collective heap, and immediately tries to help by getting the bike off Matty. It seems clear from the video that Barker was concerned for Matty and anxious to help.

It is also apparent that there are many whom have stated falsehoods about this, much of it assumptions - including those that simply weren't there. I too have criticised Barker in the past and assumed that there may have been something in the comments/claims on this thread. Seems a lot of people on this thread have a lot of retracting to do.

Well everybody standing on the 4th bend seen it including Glasgow fans as did the cameraman as he commented on the incident saying that he had stopped filming when it happened, it was well after he helped Wethers and Worrall, which he rightly did, and done extremely well to lay the bike down as well, oh well, it's in the past, there's no evidence of it happening with it not being recorded so he'll get away with it

I was standing relatively close to the incident. With an unobstructed view.

When reading some of the posts here I'm questioning if I was at the same meeting.

There was a state of shock immediately after the incident with people I assume fearing the worst. I know I did.

Then it was a matter of attending the fallen riders.

There was shouting at this stage, as you'd expect, as people shouted instructions, to do the right thing for the riders. Nothing else.

This included some directing others what not to do ... So that serious injury wasn't accidentally inflicted l assume as I suppose there's right and wrong things to do when there may be potential neck/back injuries. There was a lot of shouting at this stage. But all was focused on helping the riders and people having their own opinions as to how best to do that. Nothing else.

As I say I was standing very close by with a clear view.

In such moments, just like a road accident I find it hard to believe posters can make categorical comments on here to win an argument.

They certainly have abilities I don't under such circumstances.

Barker was held back by Doolan and pushed away by Dickson, fact, it was as Matty was walking onto the centre green, I don't know why this was the case, it could of been Matty making his mouth go for all I know but he most definately was, I'm not going to keep on trying to defend myself, if you didn't see it or wasn't there, that's fine but I have spoken with people and they have all said the same thing as me

Whilst not wanting to get involved in all this, that's what i saw too from where i was stood, about midway along the back straight. I even said to Bill next to me, "what's Barker up to here"?

The aftermath of the crash lasted a good few minutes while both riders got up etc, and when i saw the Tigers video on Faceache, my first thought was that they stopped the filming before the stramash. Or, just cut it before posting it online.

Hey ho, heat of the moment stuff in a high adrenalin sport. I'm a child of Berrington Lough and saw far worse with Granty haha.

Not sure if you're referring to my post due to no quote.

I'll not assume you are.

In case you are, to clarify, my post relates to the time immediately after the crash.
