Young Stars V Potters

Gunners

Thought the young stars looked very fast last night on their home track. Stoke did not offer a lot if I'm honest. I think Tedlam needs to drop to reserve with young Miller getting more MDL outings to help his confidence, otherwise Stoke will struggle to win any matches.

For the Stars I thought Kindsay was excellent and Bailey looked very fast.

A tough night at the office for Stoke and you had to feel for them, although all credit to them as they stuck at it. KL were dominant throughout and Ryan, Josh and Nathan were quick and very tidy. Tom Stokes was riding with pain in his hand still I'm sure and even with a spill rode very well. Scott Campos is a fine captain, there for his riders throughout with help and encouragement and is a credit to his club. Good luck to Ryan Josh and Nathan in the U21 final tonight, Three fine riders.

Feel sorry for supporters when you get this sort of result. The supporters of the winners just watch their riders miles in front most of the time and the losing supporters just demoralized. Sorry speedway got to do better than this to get me back.

It may have been a better spectacle if King's Lynn had promoted, or had to promote, a No. 8 into their 1 - 7 rather than operating R/R, particularly as, in this instance, R/R scored a 4 x ride full maximum.

Is Layne Cupitt not progressing, or did he have problems last night? After a winter spent in Australia in the World Champion's company, you would've hoped he would have learnt something and would kick-on, unless he treated it as a jolly.

If you weren't there how do you know if the racing was good or not?

Quite right Ben I wasn't there, so where do i base my comments on?. Certainly a lopsided score is no indicator of the closeness of the racing, but having called into Kings Lynn quite a few times in my 38 years of watching speedway on my way to a caravan at Overstrand (how i miss that caravan) I know that even to the most experienced rider who does not ride the track on a regular basis it can be hard, to those less of a standard it can be a nightmare. There were a few of the Stoke team that would struggle with the "motor killer" and not be competative for four laps, that along with the comments on updates of "Well strung out" and "Easy win" i again suppose that the racing was not always close. Someone...and I cannot recall who, won by a length of a straight. Not good. If only 5 or so of the races were decent, (rough check of comments on updates for that),then I call that not good speedway. I could be completely wrong of course but I suspect not, unless you like your speedway "Well strung out". Not for me thanks.
