Sings4Speedway
Perhaps as good a time as any to go up against Brum when the team are rusty and get it out the way? Not really able to see past a one sided thumping but will be interesting to see which Buxton riders put up a fight.
ellioth4
I'm looking forward to updating this meeting on Wednesday and seeing how Buxton will perform this season. If anyone is attending this meeting and is able to text updates to the updates site. We will require an texter on a weekly basis, so if you are a regular fan or just going for this meeting. Can you please send me a message with your mobile number. Thanks
Brummie Kev
I actually dont think this will be as one sided as some may think. I like Buxton, think they have a decent team. Top 3 is very strong and we can't be sure what Shelby Rutherford will do. So I think it will be a good match and hopefully not as one sided as last week Edited April 12, 2016 by Brummie Kev

Ben91
The Buxton side looks pretty solid but the Brummies are favourites for the title for a reason and I don't think any of the Buxton lads have had any meetings yet this season. Can see a big home win but I'd suspect it'll be a closer affair when the Hitmen return to Perry Barr in the league.

uk_martin
Not sure if anyone else has given forewarning about this but... To anyone using the One Shop Stopping Centre Car Park...please note that the underpass from Walsall Road to Aldridge Road is now closed off, with a view to being filled in. Crossing of the roads will need to be at surface level only, preferably using the pelican crossings.

teaboy279
I see on the updates that an announcement will be made shortly about Mudgeway's absence tonight. Potentially interested news I got the impression.
ZODIAK
Fantastic to see great progress being made by Danyon Hume in such a short space of time. From novice ex trials rider on a 3ish average, to scoring double figures in all three of his opening NL meetings at Brum this season. Good lad!
guitar_art
Safe to say The Brummies have not been tested so far this season. Its difficult to understand just how good the team is. I think we will have a much better feel for that after the next three matches. Cov and Buxton away followed by Cradley at home.
Sings4Speedway
I see on the updates that an announcement will be made shortly about Mudgeway's absence tonight. Potentially interested news I got the impression. From the Buxton website THE club have been hit hard by the news that the BSPA have not issued the relevant licences to our skipper Jade Mudgway which prevented him taking his place at Birmingham on Wednesday. Despite Jade becoming a British Citizen and having official confirmation of his status the speedway authorities have refused him permission to ride until he is in possession of his British passport. This has obviously hit the club hard especially as we had been led to believe that he would be allowed to ride whilst his application was being processed. At the eleventh hour we were told this was not now the case and were left no alternative other than to operate the r/r facility at Birmingham. We are currently considering our options and will issue any further news as soon as possible.
arnieg
Do the SCB only issue licences to riders on proof of a passport normally? What if an NL rider has never been abroad and doesn't have a passport? Is he excluded from the NL until he successfully applies for one? Surely the issue here is British citizenship, and that has now been proved Possession of a passport is academic (unless you actually want to travel abroad). Wouldn't it be that an ACU licence would not be issued until the SCB has proof of a British passport, and without an ACU licence the rider is ineligible to ride? Tinkering around the edges of the sport instead of addressing the real issues .

But is that procedure applied to the likes of Ryan Burton, Dan Bewley and Connor Locke? What if one of them has never been abroad and does not possess a UK passport - does that make them ineligible for the NL? Another BSPA / SCB Cock up? How can this have got as far as racenight? Surely as soon as Buxton tried to declare their 1-7 with an ineligible rider (i.e. a foreigner without a British passport), He is a British citizen not a foreigner. Why should it be different for a rider born in Great Britain and one who was not? You don't have to have gone abroad to hold a British passport, but you do if you want to ride in the NL in 2016.
