Pob
Forecast weather for this one looks up and down all week so could be another week without a home meeting for the Witches is the rain does not stay away. In light of recent performances of both teams i think the Witches could be in for a right battle from the visiting Panthers . With only Nico Covatti showing any sign of form right now the Panthers must be rubbing there hands together in anticipation of this one Will the Witches be able to cast a spell over there East Anglia rivals or will the Panthers have to much bite ? TB1
With the way results have gone in our league cup group we still have a chance if we can step up a gear or two.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Need the weather forecasts to change or there wont be any action anyway. Hope it goes ahead as it would mean another 10 gap til we try again against Sheffield on the 23rd! If its on the Panthers must be favourites to turn us over. Super Blue
With the way we've started this season I've absolutely no expectations of what result to expect on Thursday if it goes ahead.
Baldyman
Panthers by by 10. What with the weather and the big gaps between meetings and the poor form, I'm quickly losing interest. Edited April 11, 2016 by baldyman
bigcatdiary
I would appreciate some local weather reports certainly on the day please as I again anticipate a lot of Peterborough supporters attending this one. I think we supplied about half of the attendance at Scunthorpe yesterday which for those interested was about 450.
Baldyman
With the way results have gone in our league cup group we still have a chance if we can step up a gear or two. Wouldn't we have to thrash Sheffield and Peterborough home and away? Can't see that happening in all honesty I would appreciate some local weather reports certainly on the day please as I again anticipate a lot of Peterborough supporters attending this one. bigcatdiary
The attendance was 450 or your half of it was 450? No the total attendance was about 450.
RobMcCaffery
I expect many potential customers were at home, worried sick about the future of their jobs at the Tata steelworks. Thankfully it looks like they still have hobs, albeit not so well-paid. In a town like Scunthorpe which is so dependent on one major employer it is a vital factor in getting people to spend money on leisure. Hopefully with greater certainty people will be able to think about spending money on non-essentials such as speedway. It's such a great speedway track and I loved my visits there. Very true, we were talking about just that when driving past on the way home after the match.

RobMcCaffery
Very true, we were talking about just that when driving past on the way home after the match. In a town like Scunthorpe it's impossible not to see the huge reliance on those steelworks. They really dominate the town, I do wish them well. The fact that a small town like that has had three tracks shows how much fight there is to keep the sport going there.

jenga
He paid all that was due. yep , before he became P.M. and for the last few years he slammed large corporations etc for not paying their tax from money made in the uk . he has made a few boo boos lately with his backtracking of benefit cuts etc . lets shut the steel works down all over the uk and buy it cheaper from abroad, same with the coal situation . so when we are in battle with another country, where will all the steel come from to make new ships/tanks and amo . prob from the country we are fighting against .only one winner there then . THE ONE WITH THE BIGGEST RED BUTTON . no need to worry about how many fans were at the meeting, ws it slick or too cold ..TOAST . enjoy speedway while you can and stop moaning ..

Nice Steering quickly away from politics, it has to be remembered how much of a fight it must be to run speedway in both towns.
