El Riders In The Nl

I am glad you added max Clegg there or I'd have gone off on one! I said many times last season what are they still doing in this league but now (Ellis is on my team I don't mind so much)[THIS IS A SARCASTIC COMMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF HECTOR AUSTIN].... I see it as track time and confidence boosting if they are struggling in the above leagues and just because they are draft riders doesn't mean they are too good for National league. Halsey did it a few seasons back.

keeps their eye in when the EL goes quiet over the summer, you can't live on 1or 2 meetings a month. Or you could just let them twiddle their thumbs then moan that there's no young British talent coming through.

ZW at Brummies last year was a "novice", he was also a two times world junior long track champion, now with a good average,

when will he be considered by some to be "too good" ?

So you have changed your mind because your club has signed Adam Ellis. Really!?

And you can't really be suggesting that Adam is struggling in the EL this season? Now you are showing up your speedway naivety. Adam should have taken one of the PL berths he was offered this season.

I didn't say I didn't want him in the league just that they are top riders not really getting any challenge. I haven't changed my mind about that although I support him as he is in my team. He should have taken a PL team especially with how well BWD is doing this season he would have done Just as well if not better. He isn't struggling at the moment as such but who's to say he won't have a form dip as the season goes on? I think the ££££ has something to do with where he goes.... maybe you can call me naive but I'm not the bspa Edited by Al3x200

why does everyone keep going on about £££££££'s, he wasn't offered or asked for any more than last year, ( which was equal to other NL No1's) you are naive !

Can I ask how you know?

Well how was I supposed to know that? His name isn't I am Adams dad is it? Ok then so if it isn't the money why did Adam want to go NL and not PL like others say he should. as he is allowed to was it just Adam is a kind heart to someone in need of is Connor a good beggar?

Again a sarcastic comment I made in my post that you don't understand eventually you'll find something valid to pick at....

Seems you need to spend more time reading other Forums other than just the Eastbourne one to gain a broader knowledge of the sport. You know that Adam stayed loyal with Birmingham last season rather than sign for a PL club, as it would've meant him having to give up his berth with the Brummies?

I don't have a problem with this.

Ellis is 20, Clegg is 18. Both of them can still be referred to as developing riders and will make their teams more attractive, pulling in fans home and away.

Eastbourne need a new no 1 to make their team competitive - which means whoever took Hughes place it wouldn't be a 3 point junior so Ellis isn't taking a young lads position.

Its all very well being critical, but precisely who else are they to sign ?

with the general consensus being that the EL is getting weaker, should we ban GP stars from it in case other riders get demoralised too ? Or should we let younger riders gain from the experience of riding with the top guys ( who are normally happy to pass on help / advice) and aspire to follow in their footsteps ?

100% let them in I don't see any cons for it.

A club point of view:

- showcase riders = more fans turn up = more revenue for the clubs = more finance available to spend on ways to improve the fan expirence

- pass knowledge on to younger riders

- gives the lesser riders something to aspire to to make them better riders too

A riders point of view:

- more rides

- higher confidence

- extra money to help them find their equipment in the higher leagues
