For your information, Poole Town play at the Tatnam Ground, School Lane, Poole BH15 3JR. I'm sure The Dolphins fans would only be too pleased to see you there. Their promotion leaves them two levels below the Football League. Poole Town are your beloved Poole's local football club by the way. Over 1,000 people at their match yesterday. My nephew was one of them as he lives within the large urban conurbation you describe - and he is not an imbecile.

 

No surprise, I suppose, that a Poole fan does not care about the Speedway Regulations. Easy for anyone to find and download off the SCB web-site. Some of you Poole guys really do set yourselves up with some of your comments on here.

 

Now, back to this fascinating, No Sympathy for Matt Ford thread. I'll concentrate on the last few heats at West Row (that's in Suffolk by the way).

Bothered? And believe me, that was not an attack, just an observation. Enjoy your speedway, whether it be live, streamed or recorded - if you can tell the difference of course. And if you are upset, I am sure Starman will have some used Speedway Stars for you to wipe your eyes with, as long as he hasn't used them to wipe Matt Ford's ass with first.

Ummmm a lot of Poole fans go to watch Bournemouth and the college is called The Bournemouth and Poole College.

My stepson used to go to Bournemouth Uni(Talbot Campus), just over the border in Poole, always bit of needle between Poole and Bournemouth, was Dorset v. Hampshire years ago. I lived in Parkstone for a while, commuted to Soton everyday, 35.8 miles to be pedantic.

We all know that Ford is good at what he does and he is the benchmark that other promotions have to aim for.But let's be honest would he be as successful at say a Middlesbrough or Crewe/Barrow.If anybody new came into speedway what is the betting that Poole would be most peoples choice.Mainly because of the destination, a mini Monaco in comparison to most areas not taking nothing away from him he has done a great job for himself and Poole speedway.

I know i dont post here much but i dont remember seeing him anytime over the years - has he just been laid off or something as his posting seems to have gone into overdrive.

Incorrect. Not a troll - I leave that to 'Fred Flange', 'Drop A Cog', 'Game On', etc. If you see the posts where the Liar Troll 'Game On' has been trolling me, I hope that you will reconsider. I had an exchange of views with 'Robert72' on another thread too. He is an interesting poster.

 

Correct that I have not posted for many years. But I have been reading the Forum and observing the exchanges. Both you,' BWitcher', and 'The Doctor' who asked the question about me, I believe have very strong opinions on speedway and other matters.

 

For those that may be interested in me, my CV shows:

 

I am a fan of speedway and have been involved for many years both here and in other countries. I recently returned to the UK with my son to widen his experience of riding speedway. My job, and where I live now live, means that the EWR is my closest track, but I travel the country watching speedway and attending training sessions. I travelled from Yorkshire to watch the Eastbourne v Kent match that was postponed on Saturday, so diverted and went to Hoddesdon. I am in the background in some of the pictures that Steve Hone took at the meeting with the Panters. I stayed with relatives in Essex overnight and called in at West Row on the way back to my home on Sunday, as there was no match at the EWR yesterday. Yes, I joined the Forum a while ago but, after receiving a threat of physical violence from a poster, I ceased posting and simply read and observed. I have no malice toward that person and I see that they are a member here still. Anyway, enough of me. This is a thread about the Poole Promoter having No Sympathy, or maybe about people having No Sympathy for Matt Ford.

 

If you don't like my posts, as BWitcher suggests - ignore me. Many have in the past and many will in the future.

There isn't a two sided debate if you understand the English language.

 

It is nothing to do with 'opinion'.

 

A quick google for the definition of the word 'Elite' reveals:-

   a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society.

Now, if you can name another speedway league in the UK that is superior in terms of ability you might have a case. I'll save you the time however.. you can't.

 

And yes, I am like this in the real world. It's called being intelligent. Actually, no I take that back, you don't even need to be intelligent to understand basic English language.

I wouldn't have a clue why you have ended up where you have. Is it because you are intelligent, like you are here in the real world and understand basic English, or do you like sardines and mateus rose wine (showing my ignorance of your new homeland there, aren't I)? Have you retired there? Made loads of money from your knowledge of speedway, or selling your shares in Wolverhampton Speedway, and moved there? Are you an English teacher, as you seem an educated fellow? Did you commit a crime in the UK and now you are in hiding on the Iberian Peninsula? I hope it is not due to health issues. Oh, I give up. Tell me the reason please, I am very interested to find out. For a chap who maintains a constant vigil on the BSF, it does seem an odd country to choose though, no speedway there and all that. 'Mutumesc' or indeed, in your case 'obrigado'.

Confused is not good dear Doctor. The Doctor Who I did provide a brief CV for earlier, following your previous enquiry, but let me see if I can prescribe a remedy for your current state of confuddlement,

 

Threatening? Hardly. Little old me at my great age and physical frailties? I don't think so, young man. Never swung a punch in anger in my life. Stabbed a couple of people, but never hit anyone - only joshing about the stabbing... You don't have to be active to read posts, even when you are 10,000 miles away from the 'B' of the BSF. Some like dear old Kevin M aka Humphrey A, are very active as well despite being in sunny Queensland. Maybe you would be kind enough to direct me to an example of a post where you felt that I conveyed a threatening interface, as that would assist me in allaying these fears that you seem to have and will allow me to improve my wholly insignificant scribblings in the future?

 

My previous involvement in my beloved sport, both within the UK, Europe and the Antipodes has provided me with a thorough insight into the whole gamut of speedway, on both sides of the fence, where the bikes are prepared, etc. 'Names and tracks and all sorts', are quite familiar to me, due to that.

 

Ah, BWitcher (a strange pseudonym for a former follower of the Canis Lupus, don't you think? Portrays more of a Suffolk persuasion. Then, I suppose, he does present traits of a pack mentality at times and has roamed quite a distance to his current lair on the Iberian Peninsula.)

 

You enjoy inviting PMs do you not, but I tend to desist from such methods of intercourse due to the PM that I received some time ago now from a BSF member who felt it necessary to offer me some physical violence following an exchange of views on a matter, after said member had lost his rag somewhat and was immature enough to sink to such a level?

 

As mentioned before, dear boy, not a Troll, just a simple BSF member with an interest in all things speedway and fair play. If you are searching for Scandinavian cave dwellers, may I point you in the direction of Fred Flounder, Drop A Log and Game Off, as they, to me, portray far greater evidence of trolling accusations than I. That Mr Addio seems to be a bit of a card too. I had an interesting discourse with some Panters fans the other day, but all resolved in a jolly manner and friends again now. Just as it should be on this medium.

 

Thank you for your kind thought in respect of my employment situation, but I fear you misunderstood me as I am fully employed currently, but have been steeling myself for bad news which appears to have dissipated a little lately. I am not directly employed by the company at risk, but my present income virtually depends on that company's survival. Will it be an Indian summer I wonder? Having travelled back to these shores, mainly due to my profession - with the additional benefit of being closer to my relatives and allowing my son to progress his speedway skills, it would be a darned nuisance if I had to seek out another client and possibly uproot from the lovely Yorkshire countryside. The missus is employed currently too, teaching foreign languages at a college.

 

Enough of me again. Thank you again for your interest in me, but I am of very little significance in the whole gamut of the world and all its ills. Bless you Tom, I trust that the shift patterns that are aligned with your job as a hospital porter are not too stressful for you currently and that you have an uninterrupted and pleasant repose.
