arnieg
Only a month in and already Kerr, Auty, Wright and Starke have improved their averages enough to move in to the top 5 And Wright gets to be a heat leader!
Trees
And Wright gets to be a heat leader!Crazy, they should only take the heats against second strings into consideration at least ..... if not they're not compared to the rest of the team. And no way should they've had their high starting averages .....
Crazy robin
Only a month in and already Kerr, Auty, Wright and Starke have improved their averages enough to move in to the top 5 So they will all now be replaced by how many foreign riders at reserve who will take 7 rides?. Â They should have been covered by a rule that if they moved into the main team they would have to always have their 4 rides per meeting. stevebrum
From the BSPA website, it appears that Auty has been moved into the 1 - 5 although Starke has the highest average. This seems to support the view that only one of the EDR riders can move up & that the other remains permanently in the reserve spot. This is not in line with how the rule is written though. Thought it had been cleared up that either reserve can move into the 1-5??

Crazy robin
Another shocking decision that a reserve can move up to a heat leader from an average gained from riding against 2nd strings & reserves. Â Why can't these idiots think about things more
SteveLyric2
Kerr hasn't moved up yet - I thought his average keeps him at reserve for the time being!! Â Have Wright and Auty completed 2 Home and 2 Away meetings for their 'new' averages to allow them to be promoted yet!!! Only a month in and already Kerr, Auty, Wright and Starke have improved their averages enough to move in to the top 5 Â You've started something now!!! Â I would double check that those EDRs have completed their qualifying 2 Home/ 2 Away meetings!! They cannot be promoted into the main team until they have. Â The latest green sheets on BSPA site are showing the latest EDR averages based only on meetings completed so far Edited April 18, 2016 by Skidder1
RobMcCaffery
The whole point of the revised EL heat meeting formula was to protect FTR riders from facing heat leaders. Now, because of their 'protected rides' some have a false average high enough to move into the team and face heat leaders in every race! Â When the decision was made to allow FTRs to rise into the team the 'protected heats' format should have been immediately dropped. Â Does anyone in the BSPA hierarchy have the ability to think anything through logically? What a mess!

I know & I tried to explain this to a friend who never missed a meeting until the draft rule was brought in. These idiots in charge of making these decisions are driving more fans away with every stupid rule they endorsed😡😡😡 Edited April 18, 2016 by Crazy robin

Steve0
I honestly don't think anyone expected an FTR to move to a HL role in one move. I think it shows how poor the Swindon team have performed that Wright will now be a second heat leader. Of course it is stupid and it certainly won't help with his development - especially when the guy who replaced him at reserve gets one of his rides. Â It shows how shockingly Ill-conceived the whole FTR process is and a total lack of foresight!

Of course it is stupid and it certainly won't help with his development - especially when the guy who replaced him at reserve gets one of his rides. Â Anyone with half a brain could have forseen it. Look at the top 20 of the El averages at the start of last season. It was always likely that some would jump straight to hl. Just as it would be highly unlikely that they would go to 2nd string and then to hl. No way should this heat format -introduced to protect Draft riders remember - have been retained once Draft riders were no longer protected from moving to the top 5. It's the latest in a string of staggeringly inept decisions. Edit: sorry realised I have essentially just echoed the ff/doc post above
SteveLyric2
I thought this scheme is about allowing the better reserves the chance to test themselves against better riders?! As soon as it happens everyone is up in arms that its wrong. If the EDR can't hack it then it could only be for 2 weeks until the averages are adjusted again. As soon as it happens everyone is up in arms that its wrong. If the EDR can't hack it then it could only be for 2 weeks until the averages are adjusted again. The sensible way to achieve that is by changing the heat format so that ftr's gain a realistic average. They then move up on merit not on the basis of a totally false average.

Sorry you haven`t quite got it right It all about money- the EDR who goes into the 1-5 is still on EDR wages and the new reserve also goes on EDR money Edited April 19, 2016 by racers and royals
