I think your find kelvin has ridden the track plus his fast experience on track makes him qualified to make comments.

The poor crowds at Leicester now speaks volumes to what they once had but with refusing to make track changes the crowd gave up on the sport in Leicester after 28 years of waiting.

Have you rode the track ?

Tatum has ridden the track 'fast' has he? Must be ok then.

Your opinion. We are all free to have one.

I haven't ridden at Beaumont Park, but my son has and I did ride at Blackbird Road in the 70's. Have you ridden there?

So I hear that Tatum is still fast on a bike so I guess he rode quick around there.

Did your son ride round BP fast ?

Heard many good reports about blackbird road but before my time.

You guess Tatum did? I would've thought you would know, seemingly to be an expert, in the know and all that. He was fast when I saw he do a few laps at Arena Essex recently.

Thank you for asking, but my son has not ridden that fast around BP yet, but did quite well on other training days, particularly at the EWR which suited his riding style better than some of the other tracks. Sidewinders was good for him and his favourite.

Blackbird Road was a good venue and track, but the mesh fencing caught out a few and prompted the end of the careers of a few peers of the time. Having experienced the passion for speedway in the local community there and being a fan of the sport, I was disappointed when the venue closed and pleased when the new venue opened.

By the way, I was asking whether you had ridden at the current Leicester track rather than at Blackbird Road.

I wish your son well in a tough sport.

Yes I have rode BP but you don't need to be an expert to know its shape is wrong to produce top quality racing.

Racing at most, if not all tracks is processional in the early heats, that is always brought up on Sky transmissions!! Not until a dirt line has been built up on the last third of the track do you get any passing, other than sporadic overtakes from other riders mistakes..

Same at most tracks, Leicester just has the reputation for it and then everyone jumps on the bandwagon... It's not rocket science that if you gate, you're more likely to win. It's easier to finish in 1st place if you're there early!

More fool them then.

You can't say a meeting is dull watching just a handful of heats.

Maybe you should share your special glasses so everyone can see a fantastic meeting at Leicester which you seem to constantly see and others don't

Sky match was a bore from heat 1 to heat 15 and the last heat was a farce as they clearly wanted Doyle to win it.

Will sky return to Leicester or was that it for the season ?

I would not bother watching a meeting on sky from Leicester, unless it was Swindon. I could not see sky returning there until the track is either changed or meetings been shown to be better than they are at the moment, 15 heats of processional boring racing, no thanks .

Oh, forgot the National Stadium is trying hard to be joint cock up.

Makes you laugh when Somerset had a proven success, waiting to be copied, OK, they've cocked up the preparation, compared to how it used to be, but the basis us still there for the best racing track in the Country.

Maybe if some watched the racing from heats 1 -15 will have seen some good heats, racing and passing.

The only farce is you're post.

Did you watch it on tv or at the track ?

The meeting was dire to watch

As I'm a wolves fan I watched the match at home on SKY.

Some great passing excellent battles.

So no not dire, my eyes didn't deceive me in the slightest.

Plus it's irrelevant where I watched it from.

I watched the 15 heats.

You must of been seeing things others didn't or your easily pleased.

I know what I saw.

And please don't expect me to take seriously any post that said they didn't bother watching because the racing is supposed to be poor or those that said they turned off halfway thru.

Those opinions are completely irrelevant.

Feel free to tell me there was no passing or close racing because you will be lying.
