teddy2706
Whatever happened to the raffle to rename the stadium? I thought it was supposed to be last week, but nothing's been said? So did I.

teddy2706
Found the new name from the site as Jayne suggested, thank you. I wish I had won it, a few friends and I would have liked to have called it the "Ashworth Raceway" or the "Ashworth Arena"
pete cc
You could go one step further & call it the rickerty arena But that would be very unkind
Sings4Speedway
Plenty of naming options both comedic and sincere .......... maybe next year? Either way good on Buxton for the fund raising initiative and congratulations to the winner. As for the weekends meeting plenty of fighting talk from Pipe regarding the "weak" Eastbourne riders. Perhaps he is right as the D&P raceway has a record far causing a few falls as does Charley Powell, Luke Harris hates the place and Lewis Austen makes his NL debut off the back of limited experience. teddy2706
Under normal circumstances I enjoy seeing Danny Ayres in action, however I really wish he wasn't guesting for Storm tonight!
Pete Greenwood
Credit were credit is due ,I think Jason Pipe is doing a great job not only for Buxton but for the sport in general .

Islander15
By bringing Australians and New Zealanders into the British only National Development League? By working tirelessly in the MDL and giving some of those riders an opportunity to step up to the NL.
Pete Greenwood
By bringing Australians and New Zealanders into the British only National Development League? Working within the rules of our sport and using British Passport holders . Giving up his free time for the sport he loves and without reward . Hunters
By bringing Australians and New Zealanders into the British only National Development League? I understood it was the Travel Plus National League. Presumably they have changed it to NDL in the last couple of days.
Jayne
As Ben Hopwood has been signed by Stoke does that meen that Jade Mudgway has his passport ( British ) and is clear to ride for Buxton He certainly has and will be riding on Sunday. By bringing Australians and New Zealanders into the British only National Development League? If you are referring to Jade he is now a British Citizen and has his passport accordingly and in the eyes of the law is as British as I am. There have been many Australians and some NZ's throughout the history of the CL/NL do you object to all of them?
SCB
I understood it was the Travel Plus National League. Presumably they have changed it to NDL in the last couple of days. It's official title is the "National Development League" and it's sponsored by "Travel Plus Tours"
Hunters
It's official title is the "National Development League" and it's sponsored by "Travel Plus Tours" That's interesting, I have been back 48 pages of N L news on the SGB Official website and find that on Nov 2nd 2008 they commented on Weymouth's Conference success and the next item 16 days later referred to Mildenhalls involvement in the new National league. From then on it is always NL and I can find no reference anywhere either on the official site or individual promotions sites calling it the National Development League apart from one or two individuals on this forum. I would be interested to know what evidence there is to confirm that officially it is the NDL because if so the BSPA , SGB, & Control Board are doing a pretty good job of hiding it. Alan_Jones
The Speedway Regulations 19. NATIONAL LEAGUE MEETING REGULATIONS Known as the National League, its official name is the National Development League to clarify that this is the entry level league dedicated to the training and development of young home grown riders. AFAIK it's been that way since the inception of the league.
