Leicester V Belle Vue 09.04.16

Recommended Posts

Leicester now have to face Chris Harris who is in for Matej Zagar who has previously not been competitive on their Beaumont Park track. This makes The Aces much stronger and must be big favourites to inflict another home defeat on the Lions who will again find it difficult to score points after heat 12 in which Aces will feature Harris, Cook & Nicholls who all perform well on the track.

Having witnessed first-hand our now infamous drubbing last week by those Hammers of Lakeside, I can only see us on the end of another right spanking courtesy of the Aces tomorrow.

Especially when not very track specialist Mr.Zagar isn't in attendance.

Sincerely hope though the lads prove me wrong and put up a fight!

It's all we can ask for.

Slovenian Championship meeting I believe, conveniently ;)

As soon as the Belle Vue management knew the date of the Solvenian championship they must have been on the phone to the Lions requesting they visit the Lions on that date. Did Zagar complete a race last season at BP? They are stronger with Chris Harris riding, he's always excellent at BP. Then again Rolf Harris could be guesting and i'm sure they would still win !

Id have been intrigued to see him v Walasek in who can spend more time on the centre green! Hope greg can find the form of last year though, been frustrating so far but I do think he's an excellent rider

Im going to be travelling down tomorrow, hope the weather is like its been here today. We never seem to do well at Leicester and Lakeside have done us no favours as the pelters the Lions riders recieved from their promotion after that meeting will no doubt have them more fired up. Zagar does not like the track at all so Bomber appears a better fit for us, wonder how Matej would find the track now its been altered?

Been up at the track all day today, any lying water has been removed, some remedial work on 3 and 4 before the boys got down to some serious practise..

Rain forecast for overnight tonight, so we'll get rid of any more water that overstays it's welcome in the morning.

Forecast for race day is ok, sunny intervals, chance of a shower, temps between 10c and 14c, less windy than of late..

Should be a cracking meeting!!!!!!!!

I'll update weather, but only if the forecast changes from above.

Coming down to Leicester tomorrow, first time at Beaumont Park so really looking forward to it.

After last week's pasting off the Hammers expecting a much stronger showing from the Lions, should be great night's racing. Bookies will have it a convincing away win no doubt, potential banana skin for Lemo's boys??

Was looking forward to coming down for this one but having checked several weather sites its forecasting rain from 5 pm to 10 pm, these days its certainly not worth travelling unless the forecast is bang on, will have to leave it till the very last minute to decide.

Just looking at the teams for tonight and have discovered that the Vue riders have a total average of nearly 49 at Leicester (Elite league matches only). Surprisingly the rider with the lowest average is Scott Nichols with 6.25, the highest is Bomber with 8. So it will need a really good performance by the Lions to get a win.

Typical Speedway weather when it's hard to decide what to do. It doesn't look too bad from this forecast, but it is raining a bit at the moment. https://weather.com/en-GB/weather/hourbyhour/l/Leicester+LCE+United+Kingdom+UKXX0079:1:UK
