Redcar Bears V Workington Comets 14/4/16 7:30pm Lc

Recommended Posts

both team look to be with the riders they started with . no r/r for either team , i think . could be a close meeting , but going for anaway win to wuggy .

bears look to have 3 good heat leaders in bjerre , skidmore, and anderson . and simon neilson is a good reserve .i can see buckave being replaced by ty proctor in the future . (not too sure about dropping ass riders tho ..

onto wuggy riders .

Ricky w is still excellent at 1

rasser on last sat performance is a steal on his average .

K.K.H. well , he is the darling of the wuggy fans at the moment .

mason.. 2nd meet and i hope he aint too stiff !

claus v .. a tall rider who looks slow, but isn't. like him .

AR . just keep on the bike mate .

matt willy . i think he has had some winter spins around bear country . cant fault his effort at all .

hope for a full, safe meeting for both sides and all the points for wuggy .

Will try and keep this updated with weather throughout the day - looking dry at the moment and the forecast I have seen is for it to remain largely dry but quite overcast.

Have had quite a bit of rain over the last 2/3 days so hopefully has not done too much damage to the track and we will be good to go.

Thanks, much appreciated.

In my experience (and I have been told so many times) STMP is a much, much better race track if it rains the day before a meeting.

Latest weather update -

Been no more rain since Boz last posted and, though still overcast, it doesn't look like we're about to get any more any time soon.

Assuming the weather of the last couple of days hasn't done any damage (and even then, it's just been like a constant light rain/drizzle rather than almighty downpours) can't see any reason why this one shouldn't go ahead. Fingers crossed but all should be good.

Watch it p!ss down now!

Meeting OFF according to Workington Facebook page.

According to Bears Twitter feed "Unfortunately tonights meeting is postponed. After too much rain yesterday and working all day on the track there is too much moisture." And "Rider safety is paramount and sorry for late call. New date will be announced asap."

Just seen some pics of the track.... Disgrace.

Disgrace in what way? The track in general, decision to call off, such a late call?? I haven't seen any pics, but it may look perfect, I understand Belle Vue did before the farce they had. It would have been a huge mistake to try and start knowing track wasn't right/safe - riders would soon complain and we would off after 2 or 3 heats!
